Hard to explain how delicious this was. A great dinner experience! Justin provided expert and attentive service. The ahi tuna was fabulous! The Caesar salad with anchovies was supreme, and the trout special was delightful. I look forward to our next visit! This was not the first, and won't be the last, dinner at Nick's.
This place is Top Notch!! I had the pan seared sweet onion crusted flounder w/anise burre' blank roasted spaghetti squash tossed argula salad sweet pickled red pepper and fennel relish. I also had a salad and tomato bisque soup with bread..This was one of the most incredible meals I have ever ate in my life. You will not be disappointed. Service was amazing and the band was wonderful Smoking Guns. I ate in the bar area.
I had left a voicemail telling them that my husband had been dreaming of Beef Wellington since our wedding six years ago and still hadn’t gotten to try it. When the owner called me back, he said he’d talked to the chef, and they were going to run it as a special just for us that weekend. I was floored. Literally speechless. It was so kind. Fast forward to dinner: When we arrived at Nick’s, there was a Happy Anniversary card signed by the whole staff waiting at our table. Everyone was so kind and genuinely excited for us. The owner came over to chat with us, and later the chef even came out to ask how everything was. My husband was SO excited. He lit up the second the Wellington arrived — perfectly cooked, wrapped in golden pastry, and completely delicious. (We even ordered one to-go.) I got the eggplant Parmesan and we shared the fried green tomatoes — everything was insanely fresh and flavorful. I haven’t had food like that in forever. Nick’s is also veteran-owned, and honestly? I cannot say enough good things. They went way above and beyond to make our night special. We’ll absolutely be back.
Fantastic experience. The food was amazing and the service was great. Highly recommend. We went with a large party (13) so there was a wait but it was definitely worth it. If I had to pick one negative it would be that you have to go through the cigar bar to get to the restroom and I'm highly allergic to smoke. Got eggplant Parmesan and triple chocolate cheesecake.
WARNING: The bar is NOT smoke free. Be warned when reserving the bar side! We learned this the hard way and the smell of cigars was quite overwhelming. Service was a little bit slow however this may have been due to us sitting in the cigar lounge side. But I’m giving it a 5/5 because the food was SO worth it. We had a feast and tried some of everything including the ahi tuna, lamb lollipops, bone in ribeye, Napoli pasta, beef stroganoff, crab cakes, mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries. Out of all of this food our favorites were the steak and the crab cakes! The crab cakes are a definite must try here and they can be added onto any entree for $12. We enjoyed every last bite here. Trent was an amazing waiter, very friendly and personable! The restaurant manager Tom came by our table and introduced himself to us. The staff here were over the top friendly. Our only complaint was the overwhelming smell of cigar smoke however next time we will be making reservations more than a day in advance. You NEED a reservation to eat here! Call way in advance, it’s a very popular place. Overall this restaurant is pricey but 100% worth it for the unique taste and quality.
