I had a weird neck injury that's been causing me issues constantly and these guys were incredibly helpful. Dr. Kauffmann saw my situation as a puzzle to solve and working together we were able to figure out what was likely going on. Thanks to NorCal Physio, for the first time since the injury I'm on the path to recovery, and getting better every month. Their services are worth every penny.
The staff and therapists here at NorCal Physiotherapy are absolutely wonderful. I searched all over for the right type of therapy because years of chiropractic and massage were just not enough to deal with my running aches and pains. I came here for help strengthening my back, hips, legs, and core and to improve my running efficiency in preparation for a 100 mile endurance. I have since completed the 100 (and many other shorter distance races) and continue to work with Becky and JP on my strength and running programs. I will forever return to NorCal Physio for my sport and fitness training and recovery needs.
Caleb and his team are amazing. As a competitive powerlifter and a coach of competitive powerlifters, he’s always my go to for people that come to me with injuries that need rehabbing. He’s professional, patient, and informative. He helps you develop a game plan that will allow you to continue training while also tackling whatever issue you’re dealing with, which is crucial for athletes. He has more equipment than I’ve ever seen in a PT office, from training equipment to a cold plunge and compression socks. I always enjoy seeing him and his family pop up at powerlifting events to help out competitors. Best PT in the Sacramento area. Hands down.
The expertise and care that the NorCal team provides is truly unlike any other PT experience I’ve had! I was in a unique situation where I only had a month in the area but needed help with shoulder pain that was limiting my everyday activities. I was worried that wouldn’t be enough time to make progress, but I was so wrong! NorCal matched my urgency to start recovery quickly, and I was in my first session with Dr. Caleb just two days after reaching out. Dr. Caleb took the time to really understand the full picture of what was going on with my body, and I knew immediately I was in the right place. I left my first session feeling better than I had in months, and each appointment only built on that progress. I especially appreciated that every session was 1:1 with Dr. Caleb, something truly invaluable and hard to come by these days! I wish I could have continued therapy with the NorCal team longer, but the time I did have was incredible and I am still feeling amazing building on the plan Dr. Caleb sent me off with!
Easily one of the best decisions I've made! A few months ago, I hurt my shoulder with symptoms of a torn rotator cuff. It was the first time I've ever experienced this, so after seeing my PCP, I wanted to find a reputable PT who could "fix" me. While researching I found NorCal Physiotherapy and Sports Sciences on Google and started to read the reviews. I decided to call to learn more and see if they could be a fit to treat my shoulder injury. I was able to connect with Jessica whom took time to answer and get back to me on (what felt like) the 100 questions I asked! With this, I decided to them a try and it was easily one of the best decisions I've made! My initial/eval appointment was with Dr. JP. The appointment was set for 1.5 hours as they want to provide enough time to go through the eval, suggest a recovery plan, and answer any questions I had. Dr. JP spent a lot of time listening to my concerns and as he went through the evaluation he found out I actually didn't have a torn rotator cuff (thank goodness)! However, I was diagnosed with bicep tendonitis and a pinch nerve in my neck. From the diagnosis, Dr. JP was able to give me a realistic game plan that includes the ability to continue the same life style (with some modifications) I was living prior to injury. I was sold and decided to sign up for my next appointment. Unfortunately, I have a very tight schedule due to work and a newborn baby, so there are limited times I can commit driving 40-min to 1-hour each way for treatment. Dr. JP advised that I should find a time that works and getting treatment by any of the other PTs would be just as great, so I decided to sign up with Dr. Caleb (owner) for a Saturday appointment. Dr. Caleb has been instrumental in my recovery process (I am still seeing him for treatment on my shoulder). The transition from Dr. JP to Dr. Caleb was flawless as they document everything during the visit, so I didn't have to re-explain myself too much. Dr. Caleb understood my goal of being able to continue my lifestyle of working out and being able to tend to a newborn without any pain. He makes the visits enjoyable while pushes you on the path of recovery. He will do hands on work and then introduce exercises that gave me my range of motion back while building strength. My shoulder isn't 100% yet, but I can tell that we're trending in the right direction. I'll gladly drive 40-min to 1-hour each way to see Dr. Caleb as he is now my Doctor of PT of choice. I highly recommend Norcal Physiotherapy and Sports Sciences to anyone looking for a reputable PT!
