Its a great place to train in a safe and welcoming environment. I've been with them for a couple of years and I'm very happy with the quality of instruction. Everyone here wants and helps everyone to succeed in the development process. The instructors make sure students train in a safe and productive manner. No here will get out of hand and try to kill you when you're sparring/rolling which can't be said for all schools in the area. Its a clean and well equipped school that has heat in the winter and a/c in the summer I plan on being there for a long time

I was dropping in from out of town and Professor Paul was extremely welcoming. The atmosphere was great. I’ve trained in many places throughout the US and it says a lot about the school when they welcome an outsider to drop in and treat them well.

I had the pleasure of doing a drop-in class and open mat at North Coast Jiu Jitsu Club (NCJJC) while visiting family in Cleveland and it was an absolute blast! Professor Paul Hido is truly the funniest professor that i have had the pleasure of learning from which made my experience at NCJJC particularly memorable! Professor Paul's BJJ knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to tell stories and break down complex processes into easy to understand concepts is quite amazing. The culture that I was able to experience was so welcoming, collaborative, and warm that it is easy to understand why there are so many happy and eager-to-learn students at NCJJC. The rolls were very enjoyable and particularly technical which I appreciated so much as it made my drop-in experience so unique compared to other drop-ins that I have done in the past at other academies. Whether you are an experienced and seasoned competetive BJJ player or a hobbyist wanting to learn and enjoy our beautiful art, this is the academy for you! If I lived in the Cleveland area, there is no doubt in my mind where my home academy would be....and that is at NCJJC! If you are on the fence on whether to give NCJJC a try, let this review be that little nudge to do it as you will be doing yourself a favor and you will not regret it!!!

A perfect place to start jiu-jitsu, or continue your training journey. Brand new, beautiful facility. Schedule allows for a ton of gi and no-gi options. I can’t speak highly enough of my training partners and our highly experienced coaches. Great atmosphere. Such a well-run place. If I could give it 6 stars, I would! Highly recommend.
