Been training with Ayo for 6 months. His attention to detail and passion to the sport beams out of him. Great banter too. The gym facilities are top notch and the coaching is class. I still have two left feet and move like a coiled spring but I know training at North Shore I’m in good hands!! Highly recommend!!

I’ve been training with Coach Ayo for 6 years and it’s the perfect mix of hard work and fun. Ayo supported me as a beginner, and the community he has fostered has kept me (and many others) coming back. There’s a reason why Ayo was called the “very loud boxing coach”, that energy he brings will have you pushing harder than you believed you could.
I’ve had the privilege of training with Coach Ayo since late 2016. Within 12 months, he took me from preparing for my first corporate fight to winning the Elite NSW State Title. Since then, we’ve gone on to win many more tournaments together, culminating in the Elite Australian Championship in 2022. Ayo’s passion for teaching the sweet science of boxing is unmatched. His patience, eye for detail, and ability to balance encouragement with drive make him an outstanding coach and mentor.
I have been coached by Ayo for the past 11 years and he still finds ways to find nuances on different systems and styles of boxing that keeps me interestedand learning . His passion for the sweet science is infectious and allows each of his athletes to interpret his classes for their own style and movement. Classes have a range experience from masters world champs, masters pan pacific champions, national champions , state titles holders, king and queen of the ring to first timers looking to fight through Sydney Contender series that he and Astrid masterfully match. If you want an engaging and fun boxing session from experienced to beginner or even just fitness focused. Do yourself a favour, Do the week trial and join the weird, wonderful amd supportive group of misfits that is North Shore Boxing Club. We train hard but also have fun.Regardless of my mood when i walked in the door i always leave sweating and with a smile . I wouldn't want anyone else in my corner when competing and he and all the coaches at NSBC keep helping me find the joy , enjoyment and passion in a sport that's mentally and physically tough to keep me showing up everyday after so many years is a testament in its self.
