Doctor Mark was amazing with our Cass!!! She was acting like something was stuck in her throat and they took her back before everyone else. They made sure she was OK and made us feel better about the whole situation. The whole staff was amazing and genuinely cared!!❤️
I truly cannot say enough good things about Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital. We came in terrified after my dog, Banks, was hit by a car and missing for 24 hours in the cold snow. From the moment we arrived, every single person treated us with compassion, patience, and genuine care. This was a very complex and emotional situation with serious injuries, open wounds, and many unknowns, but the doctors and staff took the time to explain everything clearly, answer every question, and never made me feel rushed or dismissed. They worked to stabilize him, clean and debride his wounds, manage his pain, and create a plan that gave him the best possible chance to heal. They were honest but hopeful and realistic while still being incredibly kind, which meant everything during one of the scariest moments of my life. What stood out the most was how deeply they cared. Banks was not just another case. He was treated like a beloved family member, and I felt supported every step of the way. Because of their expertise, compassion, and dedication, my dog is still here and fighting, and I will forever be grateful. If you ever find yourself in an emergency situation with your pet, this is the place you want to be. They are truly angels in veterinary medicine. Thank you for saving my boy. ❤️
This clinic exceeded my expectations. They took in my sweet Moose immediately, who was actively seizing. They maintained communication during the entire process, and kept us informed on his condition. While my boy didn't make it, I know the nurses and vets did everything they could. Everyone was so good with him, and reassured us that we were making the right decisions. The nurses and receptionists were incredibly compassionate. After his passing, the staff packed him up respectfully and provided us with an imprint of his paw. It takes a special kind of person to deal with these kinds of situations on a regular basis, and we knew we were in good hands from the second they took him in, to the second they carried him out to our car. NIVES, you certainly picked the right people to take care of customers and the animals. Your staff brought as much comfort as possible during our loss of our beloved Moose, and I am forever grateful for that. I know if I ever have another veterinary emergency, this is where I will go. Bless you all for the jobs that you do. Side note: I see a lot of other reviewers complaining about price. Yes, it is pricey, but that is a part of the responsibility of bringing an animal into your home. Pet insurance exists. Being able to help my boy pass peacefully was priceless. The quality of care they receive here is beyond worth the money spent.
The environment was welcoming. The reception staff at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable. We weren’t there because we wanted to be, only because we had to be with the surgery our boxer needed. We were referred by Vale Park Animal Hospital. We didn’t want to wait until it was an emergency so we scheduled a consultation with the surgeon who answered all our questions, so surgery followed the next day. He had an overnight stay and we took him home after that. Maverick is less than a week out, but seems to be doing well. We and he were treated well. We were encouraged to call with any concerns. This place saved our Marble by the grace of Almighty. He was very critically ill; his liver wasn’t functioning properly. We kept him admitted to our local EVCC, and they referred him to here. He underwent one surgery and got one blood transfusion. They took really good care of our boy. Dr. Woods, vet tech Natalie, Ashley, and everyone was super helpful, knowledgeable, and empathetic to us. Our boy is recovering now. We will be visiting this place soon to see Dr. Woods for a four-week follow-up.
