Provider Mariya Hanneman, PA-C, worst provider ever, This was the worst experience I have had with a medical provider. The provider spent less than one minute with me and did not properly examine me. Even though I had clear flu and COVID symptoms and she asked if I was tested, no flu or COVID test was done. I felt rushed, ignored, and completely dismissed. I would not recommend this provider to anyone looking for attentive or thorough medical care.
One of the best. Have been before and worked with Rebecca NP. She and remembered working with each other at Huntersville Hospital. Great service and great care. I don't have a regular doctor and always go there. They are the best.
Went in about 20 days ago on a Sunday after having a cold that lead to a cough I had for 5 weeks. Getting an appointment on line was easy until my insurance was not listed on their site, even though they take it. Reception was great, very nice and helpful and sorted it out. The nurse was very nice and said it might be bacterial so she suggested an antibiotic and offered cough medicine or a steroid too. I opted for the cough medicine. She said to come back if the antibiotic didn’t work for the steroid. I followed all her instructions and nothing changed so I came back 9 days later after work to try the steroid route. The nurse on duty was Linda and even though I had an appointment and there was only 1 other patient there, she made me wait over 45 minutes to see me and it was only after I came out and asked if it would be much longer. She was short from the get go and when I told her about coming before and the previous nurse’s suggesting steroids, she acted like I was lying and said there is nothing in the other nurses notes. She didn’t really listen to my symptoms and even when I said, no the cough is not like this or that, she dismissed what I was telling her and gave me allergy medicine and nasal spray (the kind she said she uses for her allergies) even though I told her in my several decades on this planet I have never had allergies. She also listed a bunch of other medicines to take for symptoms I don’t and didn’t have. Here I am another 10 days later and 7 weeks with the same cough and the stuff she gave me did nothing. So this facility wasn’t very helpful.
First impressions are everything and I wouldn’t recommend this location based on my visits from today. I took my daughter in and while I was informed that she couldn’t be seen bc we had out of state insurance; that was fine but it was the young woman who I dealt with that has left a bad taste in my mouth. Her first response was not hello or a friendly greeting, it was, “Did you make an appointment?” We were walk in’s and I did not expect that to be the first greeting. She then told me to give her the name and DOB and then to fill out my registration thru the text sent to me. Before getting my license and things inputted, she told me to stop what was I doing and sign 2 papers. I couldn’t really understand her and then she repeated herself again the same way, Literally just like that. And then she asked for license and insurance cards while she was smacking very loudly eating chips in front of me. It was very inappropriate. And I asked her to repeat herself and leaned in closer bc I could not understand her. I have a hearing problem and do not hear well due to a health condition and she came off very irritated bc I didn’t hear her, her attitude and demeanor was not friendly nor approachable. There was hand movement and sucking of teeth and her facial expressions reminded you of a teenager when she responded as if she had an issue with me. Her name was Shaleena and bc of that I doubt I ever go back to that location. I will take the extra few minutes to go Uptown. It was unfortunate we couldn’t be seen but completely understood why. But not a good experience here today with this individual running the front desk at all.
