This place was a real surprise on how good everything was. We were in from out of town and always try local spots and this one did not disappoint! Its got some different things on the menu than most places. Some awesome Mexican plates an southern Cajun mixed in. The mixed chiliqulies (red and green) i had were probably the best ive had at a restaurant no joke. The beignets were absolutely delicious! My wife had the hot honey chicken and waffles with bacon..... also delicious! Service was awesome also quick clean nice and on top of drinks an anything else you could ask. Just wish we had one at our home town now!!!

They offer classic diner options. The food is usually great! The atmosphere tends to be loud and very packed. If you go during peak hours, there’s always a line/wait.

Reserved a booth for breakfast, and glad we did- what a line we avoided. The biggest, fluffiest griddle cakes we’ve ever flopped upon. We tried the “ pumpkin “ cakes. Huge egg servings! If you get kicks from old pics and cute signage, plan to spend some time!! Across the the parking lot was Bakersfield Museums Via Arte display with kids and adults doing chalk drawings of original and famous artworks.

We waited aprox. 2 hrs, Cindi is our server. She's friendly, patient and very upbeat. I ordered the Bourbon Street omelette it a Louisiana style omelette. Hubby got the Kern killer omelette. My son ordered Korean Belgium, chicken and waffles Daughter in law ordered bacon, hashbrowns, biscuits, and gravy, and it look awesome too. Everything is delicious and looks appealing to the eyes. The ambience is average nice rock 'n' roll music playing in the background restaurant clean and servers are all clean and well grown.

This was my first time visiting and I felt VERY VERY well taken care of. Customization was easy. The staff was understanding, helpful and just made the atmosphere welcoming. Making a reservation ahead of time is helpful but even walking in with a small party, the wait isn't long. 900000000000000/10 would recommend.
