This is a true hidden gem! Great location within walking distance to Old Town and adjacent to the transit center for easy access to the trolley. Room was spotless - bed was made every day with clean towels too. Quiet and great location near highway 5. Free onsite parking and free breakfast. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.
I stayed here for a festival at petco park and it was perfect. About a 5-7 minute walk from the old town transit center so we saved a ton on ubers. We were allowed to do early-check in and late check-out without any additional fees. The front desk woman was very chill about it! Our key card wasn't working anymore when we came back at 1am and we were able to get a person to immediately give us new keys. Unfortunately, there was a woman next door who was screaming and fighting so we had to call the police. The police let us know they hardly get any calls to come to this hotel so this was rare. We asked the front desk woman for a room change which she was very understanding about and immediately provided. Some cons were thin walls but that's just how hotels can be. TDLR; would greatly recommend on a budget as long as you're not picky about amenities and what the hotel looks like. clean and great location!
We love it! Rooms are very clean and bed so comfortable. Just what we need. The location is perfect as a hub, either going/coming from the airport and walking distance to the Amtrak Old Town station.Very affordable. Staff always attentive and nice, we were allowed to check in earlier. We have decided this will be our place to stay on everytime we visit San Diego. Definitely we recommend this nice little cozy hotel, its a hidden jewel 😉
I had a wonderful stay at the Old Town Inn. Even though it’s a two-star hotel, the service and comfort truly exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made my stay relaxing and enjoyable. The location is perfect—right in Old Town, close to restaurants, shops, and major attractions. It was easy to walk everywhere, and transportation options were also nearby. The hotel also offered great value for the price, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a budget-friendly but pleasant stay. Overall, I was very satisfied with my experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for travelers who want convenience, cleanliness, and great service without breaking the bank!
This charming inn truly exceeds expectations. The meticulous cleaning and exceptional maintenance are a rare find these days. While some reviews may label it a motel instead of a hotel, those opinions are inconsequential! It’s a hidden gem worth every single penny. I have never slept so well in a modest hotel before; comfort often feels out of reach. In this instance, Old Town Inn surpassed all my hopes before arrival. Perfectly located, you can easily grab your essentials at a nearby grocery store (Smart & Final), helping you sidestep those high restaurant prices and elevate your breakfast experience. We booked the delightful small studio on the third floor, the ideal choice for our four nights and five days attending our son’s Marine graduation.
