Christian O. is the best!!! very organized and he kept calling us family whenever we’d order food! My fiance and I tried to dine at the sister restaurant with our family but they had a flood and Olio Piu took us in right away! Served us so fast, best service, and so kind! The manager Karen was so sweet! We had the best christmas dinner!

Bit of a wait even though we had a 4pm reservation and there were plenty of tables without customers, but, perhaps, not cleaned or bussed and ready for use. It was Xmas day and a shortage of staff could have been the reason for the delay to be seated. But once seated, everything about the restaurant - service, atmosphere, food etc., especially the food were outstanding. Best italian dishes have had in years. We had the fritto primevera for a starter; the calamari melted in your mouth. All three main dishes - fusilli cinghiale with mushrooms, orecchiette, and the salmone croccante were delicious with the orecchiette getting the number 1 vote between the three of us. We could not leave without trying a couple of items from the dessert menu, tiramisu and the chocolate mousse - both homemade and aroused a lot of mmm's, yum's and oh, so good's at the table. Our only disappointment was no un caffe was available; did not catch the full reason why - something about the machine was not working. Be that as it may, it was a superb Xmas dinner experience. Will definitely be back and love the fact that they close relatively late.

Overall, Olio E Piu is a great restaurant/ dining experience. The menu was good, the food delish', the service great, especially since we were there at prime dinner time on a Saturday evening during the December holiday season. And the atmosphere was classic old world traditional and elegant - and holiday magical. Definitely a future go to place for us. Definitely worth a dining experience if you are in the area.

I came in with my family for a birthday dinner. Our server, Gregory, was very knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. We ordered everything from appetizers all the way to dessert and the food was amazing and very fresh. The smooth jazz and warm lighting was so welcoming and cozy. We told our server about our birthday person and he told us he had a gift in store for them. He surprised us with a book of the restaurant’s history and recipes. Made the experience so much better! Highly recommend coming here with a group for dinner !

Very attentive staff and they were very accommodating. Quick service by the chef as well. Food was really good. On par with other DC well known Italian restaurants. Medium noise level for the size. It was lively when we went. The only problem was the bathrooms. Only two of six were not working. They needed out of order signs up or a notice.
