We had an incredible experience at Omakai in Wynwood. We ordered the OMA and OMA Deluxe, along with two sake flights, and everything was outstanding. The flavors were absolutely exquisite. We just came back from Japan, and we can honestly say this place is very authentic thoughtful, and delicious. The food was exceptional, the service was great, the music was enjoyable and not too loud. Each piece of nigiri was beautifully prepared, and the rice was absolutely delicious: slightly warm, with a subtle hint of sweetness. There was no need for soy sauce at all you could simply enjoy the pure, exciting taste of the fish and rice as intended. I was enjoying my food a lot that i only took one photo.

An absolutely splendid hidden gem in Miami! This is where the locals eat. This is the original location and it is worth a visit!! Lunch time is my favorite because it's not crowded and it's a wonderful value, with professional and unobtrusive servers in a beautiful environment. The menu adjusts seasonally but always is executed on the highest level, absolutely beautiful fish and wonderful execution. The wine menu is affordable and extensive, the beer menu features wonderful selections like Wednesday from Japan. And they serve a very nice selection of sake that they can tell you about. I don't think you can go wrong here but just try the oma or oma deluxe ($32 or $40 lunch). It's the perfect amount of food and showcases the menu including the blue crab hand roll which is the best I have ever had, ever ever ever!!! I have to say you should not miss dessert, I know that's weird for a sushi restaurant but the yuzu cheesecake and the chocolate souffle are out of this world, they are not overly sweet and go perfectly with a Julius Meinl espresso they offer. There are so many choices in Miami but you won't regret this one!

I was visiting Miami from NJ and stumbled on Omakai Sushi through DoorDash—and I’m so glad I did. This was my first omakase experience, and Kathy made it unforgettable. She was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming, taking her time to walk me through each course and offering great recommendations that made the entire meal feel curated and personal. The quality of the sushi was exceptional, and Kathy’s service truly elevated the experience. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Miami. Highly recommend Omakai Sushi—especially if it’s your first time trying omakase!

Christian provided an overall stellar service!! First time coming to Omakai and a truly felt welcomed from the moment I walked in. Came on a Thursday afternoon 30 minutes shy from their happy hour. However I opted for their Omakai experience and it did not disappoint, 17 incredible dishes. I also chose the Heaven Sake flight… Delish! I had an incredible experience and Christian made it all possible. I will definitely be back.

We found this place to have a great date night in a Wednesday night. We were looking for a place with rolls, and I was kinda bummed they don’t have rolls (except hand rolls); however.. decides to try it out. DID NOT DISSAPPOINT. Let’s start with parking, Wednesday night very easy working in front with mobile app. Weekends might be full since I know wynwood is very popular. We were seated immediately. For a Wednesday late night the place still had a couple tables with people. Logan was our server, what an amazing experience he delivered. Offered recommendations, ask what we usually liked, and he was 100% on point. We tried a variety of nigiri and we couldn’t stop ordering. The freshness of fish is delightful. Melts in your mouth. Flavors very well paired to deliver an exquisite experience. .
