Overall I really like OneLife @ Chesapeake Square. It’s always clean and the staff is friendly. There is plenty of equipment available and all types of classes to choose from. I do wish there were more day time class offerings - like lunch hour options. It’s either super early or too late in the morning. My only other suggestion is that they upgrade the tanning beds - there are budget gyms with nicer tanning options so I’d love to see this improved. Otherwise definitely recommend this gym!
Great gym! Just joined and started going after almost 20 years of not going to gym. Exceptional staff, especially Vinny and Mike. Only concern is that the jacuzzi isn't currently working. I asked about it and they said parts were on order. I hope so. I have herniated disks in back and it would feel great to take advantage of it. However, everything else is in great shape and I'm excited to incorporate more equipment into my routine. Thanks for making me feel comfortable joining and not feeling like a discusting fatbody. But PLEASE fix the whirlpool though!!!!
Onelife Fitness – Top Tier, Period. I love writing reviews, and by all means, Onelife Fitness deserves one. First off, the staff is outstanding. From the front desk to the floor, everyone is respectful, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. You’re not treated like a number—you’re treated like a person. That matters to me, and it shows every single time I walk in. The equipment is solid and well taken care of. Plenty of options whether you’re lifting, doing cardio, or just trying to move and get better. Everything works, everything is maintained, and nothing feels thrown together. Now let me say this clearly—the cleanliness is next level. The gym, locker rooms, and workout areas are consistently clean. You can tell there’s pride in how the place is run, and that doesn’t go unnoticed. The overall environment is positive and motivating without being fake or over the top. People are respectful, the energy is right, and it’s a place where you can focus, work hard, and better yourself. Onelife Fitness is more than just a gym—it’s a well-run facility with good people who care about what they’re doing. I’m grateful for this place and highly recommend it to anyone serious about their health. I went from 368lbs to 227lbs ALL at this great facilty. No complaints. Just respect. 💪🏽
I have been a member of One Life for going on 4 years. I moved to VA with 3 kiddos. We started at the Virginia Beach location, which was wonderful. And then recently moved to Chesapeake last year. I almost canceled my membership at One Life because of the child care center at the Greenbriar location. There is a woman at that location that just, doesn’t seem to like kids or her job, which is fine, I get it, kids can be overstimulating. But consistently, my kids were starting to hate their weekend morning gym adventures, because of that particular location. However, my faith in One Life fitness and their child care centers was restored after today, and it’s because of the wonderful child care staff. Not only is the gym clean, and not only are all the staff wonderful and friendly people. But the child care center and the women there, are what you hope for your kid so you can work out with peace of mind. Every single woman there was kind, friendly, hands on, and even asked details about my kiddos so they could tend to them better. The Greenbriar location has never done that. This location may be an extra 15 minutes out of the way, but will forever be the location I take my boys too now. Their sweaty, happy, excited smiles are all I needed to win us over. If you are a parent, this is a good gym for child care. And if you are not a parent, this is still an amazing gym to meet your goals.
This is one of the most amazing gyms I have ever been to. We have heard “There’s an app for that!” Well, this is a gym that has met all my needs from 2 months out of hip replacement surgery to today - “They have a routine for that!” Day one Sierra showed me all the amazing amenities for me to enjoy - water aerobics, a Women Only workout room, a theater for me to watch a movie doing aerobics, nutrition consultation and classes - Kc is absolutely amazing, i recommend scheduling with her - OH, and she set me up with an amazing personal trainer, David! - and that is a whole other amazing aspect- the training team works together to give you optimal service that meets your specific needs. They encourage you to reach your inner strength and overcome fears that have held you back… There are also three pools here. Salt water… and a whirlpool… and the saunas. Ahhhhhh, I could go on and on and I have not even talked about the machines, free weights, and atmosphere. If you want a gym that welcomes you home and makes you feel and KNOW you have been seen and heard, this OneLife location is for you!! See you herr!! -Snick
