Alessandra’s food is a gift. Every single ingredient is thoughtfully considered, and the results are shockingly delicious, heartwarming and sufficiently memorable to have you re-booking before you’ve left the building. Alessandra, Christian and Marley are kind and gracious hosts who have, in Osteria Papazzo, created a charming space which reflects the artisanal heart of who they are and what they do. The coffee is excellent- a custom blend created in collaboration with Slingtown Espresso- and the wine list is spot on. We’re so lucky to have Osteria Papazzo in Newcastle. Do yourselves a favour and get there immediately!

Amazing food, atmosphere and lovely service. You feel cozy and so looked after by christian and the team. We have been for both pasta and Pizza night and its amazing. Blown away by Alesandra's traditional napoli pizzas and never want to eat anything else!

My partner and I shared a gorgeous dinner at Osteria Papazzo. We felt very welcome from the moment we entered. Perfectly lit and with an excellent ambience, the staff were very friendly and Alessandra went above and beyond to make our night feel special. We started with sourdough and olives, our only regret is that we didn’t get the sourdough with mortadella! For mains we shared the ragu and wagyu, both cooked to perfection. After trialing the excellent selection of gin, I asked for Alessandra’s recommendation of red wine to pair with my meal and I was not disappointed. I would recommend Osteria Papazzo to anyone seeking an authentic, delicious meal in a cosy and relaxing setting. I will be coming back!

The closest you’ll get to Italy in Newcastle. Alessandra and Christian are a lovely couple who welcome you into their beautiful venue with genuine warmth. The food is authentic, village-style, and superbly prepared, featuring a seasonal selection of Alex’s cherished family recipes. Standout dishes include the ragu, eye fillet, and Alessandra’s homemade sourdough. The atmosphere is inviting, relaxed, and feels like home — a truly special place to share a family meal or a romantic night out for couples.

This place is the most delicious Italian ever! We went on walk in Thursday night and ate the most amazing pizza! Everything you want it to be, light, crispy, fresh, juicy amazing! The smoked buffalo mozzarella blew my mind and the family run warm gorgeous service is so refreshing in Newcastle! We walked away with warm tummies and hearts! It’s my new regular I reckon! Thank you Alessandra and team!
