From start to finish Palmer Iron Fence was great to work with! We had them out to repair a garbage enclosure. The office staff was responsive and super friendly. The guys that came out to do the work were great - thorough, professional and did a beautiful job! So glad we went with Palmer and id recommend them to anyone needed iron work!
Paulina and Francisco are great to work with and work fast too! I sent them a picture of what I needed and in 5 days they built my dumpster enclosure just as I wanted. Wow! I couldn't be happier with their work, communication and willingness to deliver as promised - which they did!
Highly recommended. Francisco and Paulina were very helpful, answering our endless questions and offering various options to help us stay within budget. Once we decided how to move forward, the job was completed within a week and looks beautiful! Very happy with the experience and finished product. If we need any more fencing work, we'll be calling Palmers Iron Fence.
My wife and I had just purchased our home and wanted some more security. I carry a lot of equipment in my truck so a fence was a must. After looking at a couple of companies we went with Palmers Iron Fence who was referred to us by a friend. We were very satisfied with the work they completed and the cost. My wife and I were very happy with the finished product. They were able to complete all our requests, one being the following: as you can see in the pictures the posts are higher than the fence. This was a request from us for a project we have in mind for the future. Francisco provided great customer service. They were fast, efficient, kept the work area clean, and did a great job. I would definitely recommend Palmers Iron Fence.
Francisco was scheduled to start job at 8:30 am and complete the job the same day. He didn’t show up until 3:45 pm to start the job. He did not let me know when he arrived and did not apologize or offer explanation as to why he was 7 hours late. The next day when the worker told me he was finished, I noticed some of the old steel posts were sticking up, 1 post was about 18” high, another 6” high and the post in the middle they didn’t cut off at all. They cut the chain link at the concrete leaving a trail of what looked like nails sticking up about 1” high the entire length of the old fence line. There was no latch on the rolling gate, just a couple L brackets welded on for me to line up the holes and put a padlock or something in there to keep the gate from rolling open. One side of my fence was noticeably higher than the other side. Then I saw that they WELDED MY FENCE TO MY NEIGHBORS IRON FENCE. I tried to explain these things to the worker but he did not speak English so I called Francisco. Francisco started yelling at me over the phone, said he did not say he was going to put a latch on the gate, said he was not going to jac hammer the chain link out of the concrete (?? Why wouldn’t u just hammer down the points and use alittle of ur post concrete mix to smooth it out some?) He agreed to cut down the post and put another latch on the gate but that was it. He said he had already done enough extras for me and he wasn’t doing anything else. I asked what extras did he do and he replied that he hauled away the old chain link fence for me. I reminded him that removing the existing fence was in his contract.?? The workers stayed and cut the posts and put a slide bolt lock on the gate (which is useless at night because you can’t see to line up the holes, you have to wiggle the gate until the bolt slides down) that’s all he was going to do and I was still upset from him yelling at me over the phone so I paid Francisco the balance of his contract so this could be done. Within 2 hours after Francisco left, my neighbor was yelling for me over the fence to come talk to her. Bottom line; she wanted my fence disconnected from hers ASAP. Everything she said to me was true so I just stood there and apologized. I decided I was not going to argue with Francisco over fixing his mistake so I stopped payment on the check I gave him, left him a voicemail explaining the situation and text a message to him. Monday morning Francisco called yelling at me for stopping payment on his check. He said he was coming to fix it and I better be there to pay him as soon as he was done. He fixed it, I paid him and I never want to talk to him again. What kind of a fence contractor does not know you can not attach to someone else’s fence? Even I knew that. The city has specific codes for installing fences so be careful because Palmer might install your fence illegally and the city might come make you tear it down. I was lucky my neighbor kept it between us instead of calling code enforcement.
