If you’re an avid sci fi, fantasy or horror reader, this gem of a bookstore should be right up your alley, as they specialize in those genres only. Tucked away on NE Alberta and 27th, you really have to know ahead of time where to go, but it’s well worth the journey. It’s chocked full of newer and older titles. They’re nowhere near the size of Powells bookstores, but it’s well worth finding harder to find titles.

I went there to see about consigning my partners books: 'Flux' by Ava Altair The owner was amazing! The selection was huge! Parrallel Worlds Bookshop is the best Fantasy Sci-Fi place I've ever seen. Sam out did all competition!

Child-me could only dream of this place existing. And with the expansion? Amazing. More books, more space, more special editions, more used. It's a must-visit for showing people the magic of Portland.

Great bookstore for all things sci fi and fantasy. If they don’t have something they will likely get it for you and always have great recommendations. Super friendly staff.

This place is an amazing find! Great little book shop packed with SO many books. It was shocking how many books were in there and they were so well organized and displayed. The owner was helpful but also quiet to let people browse. Great deals and unique finds! They carry new and used. :)
