I first discovered the Paramita Centre when I was at a crossroads in life, feeling the weight of stress and uncertainty — something I’m sure many can relate to. From my very first class, I found a path toward healing, growth, and insight. Over the years, the teachings — from calm abiding, meditation to lamrim — have given me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, helping me to discover and be my true self with courage. The teachers are loving, compassionate, supportive, and help guide you toward expanding your perspective of letting go and seeing life with greater clarity. In the midst of life’s noise, the Centre helps me quiet my mind and tap into moments of deep serenity and insight. It’s an extremely special place that has profoundly impacted my life.

This is the BEST place in Toronto to learn how to meditate and find lasting happiness! Most non-Buddhist places that teach wellness meditation use guided meditation, which only provide temporary feelings of wellness and a very small level of understanding. I have tried other places, but here, at the Paramita Center, I immediately felt so happy and comfortable! The current instructor, Lobsang Yeshema (or Minh), is very friendly, gentle and kind! Her teaching is easy to understand and provides clear gradual steps on how to meditate properly and how to apply antidotes to the five hindrances to good meditation. She welcomes any kind of questions, no matter if you're a complete newbie to more seasoned practitioners. Also Lobsang Tenzin Gawa (Jason Simard) is an excellent and highly knowledgeable teacher, who is also very approachable. There is no push to perform religious type of rituals. You can keep your own religious faith. They focus on teaching the meditation techniques and philosophy so that everyone can reduce their stress, anxiety and negative emotions and thoughts to live a happier life. I FINALLY found the best place to learn proper meditation techniques and Buddhist principles in a clear, step-by-step manner! You can try it out by attending one of their evening 1 hr practice meditation sessions, and all are welcome, especially for beginners! You will get excellent value for your money at this place! May you find happiness and peace here!

I have been coming to Paramita for close to 3 years, and it is no exaggeration that the person that started coming here and the person I am now is night and day! I was sad, depressed and an angry person. Today I am much more happy and content and seldom does anger arise, and when it does it is temporary. I have learn to take responsibility for my own action and these tools I got ( was taught) at Paramita. The teachers are so patient ( and kind) and explain things so well! The community here is like nothing I have come across before, everybody is open minded, really kind and welcoming! The teachings are profound and they are taught in an easy to understand step by step manner. I really recommend this centre to anybody who wants to learn to meditate or want to learn about Buddhist philosophy, beginner or already a practitioner. Everybody is genuinely welcome!

My review for the front shop; set me up for my way today. 3 hand made bowls in varying sizes in a pleasant interval that can sing & etc. Great place - an energy facilitating the name. The bowl with the most character I mumbled “sounds like Om” when I made it sing for brief short bits at the store. Other two sang with ease Before writing this review, I finally made the bowl try to bounce from my hands in a great hum after an “Om” of released frustration I poured into the bowl - also the struggle made me objectively improve my singing hand placement. Funny I came in asking if they had a gong in the shop
