We wanted to treat out-of-town guests to a tour of Cincitucky by boat, and this 2-hour cruise was perfect. Phil and Kim were pros. They told historic stories that I had never heard before about elephants on the Roebling Bridge and the true and tragic origins of the SS Nightmare. We had the perfect amount of time to enjoy lunch that we brought from Pig Candy. It was a beautiful Fall day. Recommend!

I booked this river cruise as a surprise for my wife for our 32nd anniversary and was not disappointed. Captain Phil really made us feel welcomed and texted me the night before to let me know that they just got in from the evening cruise and that it was quite cold on the river. Even though I wanted a "moonlight cruise" on the river I went with his advice about changing it to an earlier time (only if I wanted to) in the late afternoon. Very glad that I did because it was rather cold when we got back around the time we would have left, which would have made my wife very uncomfortable. It may not have been as romantic as I wanted but we were able to see more along the banks and enjoy the regatta of paddle boats. The 2+ hour cruise was very relaxing and enjoyable, especially with being able to see the paddle boats on the river that week First mate, Kimberly, was very informative about the history of the river and the bridges and buildings/areas bordering it. The fact that it was just my wife and myself on the cruise was really special! It was a great end to our anniversary. Both Captain Phil and Kimberly did everything they could to make us feel comfortable and welcomed on their boat. Would happily book this river cruise again!

On September 13, 2025, my group (3 couples), had the opportunity to do a river boat tour with Patriot River Boat Tours. You will not be disappointed with the tour, staff, or boat. First the tour was very informative. My husband is a history buff and I’m not and we both thought the tour was great. We have all lived here all our lives and still learned new information about the river and surrounding areas. First Mate Kimberly really knew her stuff. She pointed out sites and interesting facts. Secondly, the staff of 2, first mate Kimberly and Captain Phil, were extremely friendly. You start off with a very brief discussion on safety and then on to the fun of cruising up the river. They both know a lot about the surrounding areas, history and boats/barges we were passing. You can also bring your own drinks and snacks. Lastly, the boat. The boat had plenty of room and seating for our party of 6. You can sit in the front area (my fav area) to soak up the sun or in the back in the shade. Best of both worlds. In addition, there is a restroom on board for you to use and it was spotless. I have been on many boat tours or cruises in different cities and this was the cleanest restroom, if they even have one. Firstly, I have to tell you that A WHOLE BALD EAGLE flew right over us on this tour! I don’t know if this was planned but it sure was cool! I had an exceptional time with friends and family on this 2 hour tour. It was so beautiful and relaxing on a Monday evening from 6pm-8pm and the weather was so perfect. It was so fun! Captain Phil and his lovely wife made us feel safe and relaxed. They genuinely enjoy providing this fun relaxing service and they enjoy people. Very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Captain Phil and first mate Kimberly were awesome! We had a great experience, the boat was clean, they explained things very well, answered a lot of our questions, it was really an amazing experience. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to take a group of 6 on a trip they won’t forget. I highly recommend and hope to use again in the future. Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing, informative and overall great experience! Thanks so much for the wonderful memories captain phil and first mate kimberly. Y’all gave my son and neice their first ever boat rides and they’ll remember this day forever. Thank you all again ❤️
