We absolutely love Paul Cates Stable for their experienced and incredibly knowledgeable instructors. They truly are “horse whisperers” and make horseback riding both enjoyable and fascinating. My 11 year-old son, Brian, is learning about small responsibility, how to communicate attentively with the horses, and how to ride in harmony with them as a beginner. It’s been a wonderful experience for him.

They do not take care of their horses or their property. They leave them out in the snow and rain with no shelter. The barn stalls are falling apart. The horses are almost never handled then they throw kids on them for summer camp. Very unsafe for the kids and the horses. Now they are working with developers to sell a part of their land and have it rezoned as commercial property and all of the community is speaking out loudly against it. They don't care yet they want to continue to operate their business in our community (keeping the land their home is on and their arena). Do not support this business.

I have been riding here almost weekly for 1.5 years and I'm super happy with them. The horses are well taken care of and just so sweet. Bo is an exceptional trainer: she knows exactly when to challenge me. I came in as a absolute novice. Don't let age hold you back, I started riding when I was 30 years old.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! Instructors are GREAT! My son has learned sooo much in such a short time! Their patience, knowledge and dedication to students is impressive!!! This stable is much more than just classes, the horses are cared and loved by Owner and everyone else involved!!! They also make you fell at home!

We had my daughter’s 7th birthday party here today. Everything was fantastic. Our party leader Emma was kind, relaxed, and attentive. We loved that they had 10 horses available for our group, so everyone was able to ride for a long while. Each horse was led by a worker, so we felt very comfortable with the kids in the arena. The area was covered, which was a nice option if it had rained. The party room was small, but it was open to a porch with additional benches and the lawn outside was a great extra space. Everyone was so impressed. Highly recommend if you are considering for a party!!!
