I was initially seated on the wall closest to the entrance to the office which slams shuts. This causes the entire office to shake since it’s a very heavy door. Every minute or so when someone entered or exited the test station I was at would shake intensely. This was extremely distracting while taking my exam. The door closing mechanism should be adjusted so that the fire closes softer. At the midway point I brought this up to staff and they were very courteous and moved me to the opposite side of the room where it wasn’t an issue.
Test administrators were nice and professional. Testing space is okay (standard), but they used so much air freshener that my skin still smelled hours later. Do not test here if you are sensitive to smells in any way!
Took my exam at 8:00am on 3/20/24. All four staff members I interacted with were incredibly kind and professional, enough to make me want to leave a review. Both gentlemen at the front desk and both proctors gave encouraging words prior to my test and again afterwards. One made a comment about how I didn’t smile in my picture, and said “aw but you’ll have a big smile after your test once you finish.” It was such a great experience to have prior to a very important exam for my career. Thank you all 😊 The room was quiet and the proctor was quick to respond to my raised hand. It was neither hot or cold in the room (something I always worry about so I know how to dress). They offer earplugs if you’re like me and get distracted easily by sounds such as a loud headphone set or keyboard clicking. It was also easy to find the testing center and parking (noted as $24 in the email reminder) is below the building the testing center is in and was easy to find. The security guard in the building’s lobby was also helpful in navigating how to get back to the garage because I took a different set of elevators than the one I took to get to the center. Good luck on your exam!
Just putting this up here so others don't get scared off as I almost did just from reading these reviews before taking a test this past fall. Maybe it was the day I happened to pick and got lucky, but I found every single staff member (from front security to the front desk to the proctors) to be very kind, warm and highly professional. The room was full of test takers, but it was quiet and I didn't feel distracted. When I needed to take a break, I just raised my hand and the proctor came right over. Its a very convenient location too and a nice building.
I had a terrible experience at this testing location. To echo another comment, the employee at the front desk acted like a prison guard. I was treated rudely from the moment I walked in. I understand there are Covid procedures in place and am all for taking precautions, but the curt tone with which I was addressed and ordered about, and the fact that I was consistently referred to by my last name instead of by my first name or with a Mr. prefacing that last name was bizarre and disconcerting. The person could easily have invited me to cooperate with a basic shift in tone instead of assuming I was an enemy to be contended with. There is also a difference between firmly enforcing policy and making a customer feel threatened. I've dealt with indifferent employees at places like the DMV, but this person was hostile. They need to evaluate their hires more carefully, if they care at all. I recommend visiting another location for your testing needs.
