LOVE this place! You can buy arts & crafts that other people go donate or you can go donate things that you no longer need and are just taking up home space. I wanted to participate in my job’s pumpkin contest but didn’t want to spend too much money, I got lucky and found almost everything I needed here (minus the googly eyes & some paint colors). I didn’t end up using everything so I went back and donated the leftover items plus other arts and crafts items I had around the house. Recently I went again and got me some yarn because I want to start crocheting 🧶 and I found me some nice yarns. Y’all please support this place, they run by donations - monetary and supplies 🙏🏽
I've been wanting to check this place out for AWHILE and finally made it over there. I was able to find plenty of supplies for my current projects and even some inspiration for future projects. The time flew by while I was in there. I tried to only take what I could repurpose and was probably overthinking it a bit with the "pay what you want" motto. The staff were very encouraging that you can put whatever items suite you in your bag and "pay what you want". I asked for the suggested and average prices of the bags to gage where my cost should land. I definitely got my money's worth for my items as well as some new ideas inspired from some of the supplies I acquired. The owner is very nice and I really enjoyed talking with her. I LOVE the idea of keeping arts and crafts supplies from landfills. I tend to hang onto supplies that I may never use also, just in case, or because I don't like them going to waste. It's nearly impossible to find someone that needs that fabric, paint, etc. Pegasus helps us all help eachother! Adding a picture of my new treasures after I organized them a bit.
My daughter wanted to get some things for a junk journaling activity with some friends, and I had been wanting to check out this shop. They have everything…. Paintbrushes, paints, canvases, colored pencils and pens, needlepoint supplies, vintage needlepoint patterns, fabric, thread cones, notebooks, stickers, beads, art storage (lucky), art books, collage supplies, stencils, fabric flowers, the list goes on… We even saw some legos. 😄 They have a “recommended” donation of $20 per bag. Brown paper bags are available on front table. (We brought a reusable one.) You can also donate YOUR art supplies. (I need to go back to do this.) I think they weight it and give you store credit according to weight. A friend did this, and the credit isn’t much, but if your supplies are just collecting dust, why not? 🤗 Just go. It’s worth a visit. We got a full bag and donated $30 plus tax for it.
If you’re trying to find a new art medium, this is the place to go. Even if you actively have one that you love it’s the place to go. The owner of this business is unbelievably kind and will not only let you pay what you want, but help you find what you want too. They are super active in the community. Wanting to help, wanting to grow, and wanting to be a part of change. My first time in this store I was greeted with a smile and an explanation of the store. I was allowed to look around and ask questions, and the owner seemed to genuinely take interest in what I was working on. They had these amazing sketchbooks that typically run $40 each, helped me find the certain tools I was wanting, and it was such a great and inspiring experience. If I was financially able to pay more, I would’ve. However she was more than happy with the $25 payment I made. Next time I’m making sure it’s $100 because that’s what they deserve. I know it’s a $20 recommended amount however I think everyone should come in wanting to help this store out as much as they are wanting to help us out. I couldn’t recommend this store more than I am.
First time here a lot alot of items. Can be overwhelming and it’s crowded i went on a wknd. went looking for sketching items we found some pencils and everything else was more so for like sewing, cloths, yarn etc. i think it’s cool you pick what you want to pay. Go check it out
