My daughter just picked up her senior prom dress from Penelope Boutique and it is GORGEOUS! My daughter is pretty particular about what she wears and her dress is classy, elegant, unique, and feminine… all of the qualities she wanted in her dress. The alterations and added side slit that Par suggested we’re spot on. Turnaround time from our first time visiting the store to getting her dress was just a couple of weeks. Par is very welcoming and friendly and very honest about costs, fabric, alterations, etc. She knows what would look good on your body that you are blessed with and will let you know why one style and/or fabric, color, and cut will look good or not. Penelope Boutique will be our first place to go the next time a special dress is needed.

Couple days ago, while shopping in a store, I noticed a group of young high school girls who were focused on making TikTok videos. The saleswoman, who was extremely kind and professional, asked them politely to refrain from making videos in the store due to privacy concerns. However, the girls immediately began bullying the saleswoman, telling her that she was only a salesperson and that they could try on as many dresses as they wanted. They also made it clear that they had no intention of buying anything and continued to create noise and laugh at her. Eventually, they left the store. I was extremely disturbed by the way these girls treated the saleswoman. She was a classy woman who did not deserve to be bullied in this manner. To my surprise, I have noticed more than 10 or 15 reviews from that day from seemingly girls and a couple of guys. I did not see any other guys in the store that day, only these teenage TikTok girls. I hope that these girls are held accountable for their behavior and that Google takes notice of this incident. It is unacceptable to treat anyone in such a disrespectful and rude manner. This store is popular within the community and we have been customers for ever 25 years.

Rude, racist and disrespectful owner/sales lady. Judge's peaple as they walk in. And tells the customers that she doesn't like that they can't afford something without knowing anything about them. Save yourself the humiliation and keep walking the next store. She's not worthy of anyone's money.

Very rude sales lady. Commented on our financials without knowing anything about me. I was ready to spend $1000 on a dress but she lost my sale because of her commentary. If she can’t afford to have customers try on a dress then she’s the one who can’t afford to be in business LOL.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Sales rep was very rude and disrespectful. She talked as if we couldn’t afford a nice gown and commented on our weight (as if we couldn’t fit into the dress when it was our size???). I got the idea she was also racist as we were ethnic women. She lost a sale for sure. Avoid this place at all costs. Seems like a struggling business for a reason.
