The croissant was really delicious and fresh! The staff were nice, but I wish they could’ve been a little friendlier. Overall, it’s a lovely place and I’d love to come back.
After arriving in Montreal, a local recommended Au Petit Paris for authentic Parisian pastries. Located on Mont-Royal Avenue, a vibrant pedestrian street full of cafes and restaurants, the bakery immediately impresses with its elegant interior and beautifully displayed, refined pastries. The staff behind the counter were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, answering questions about the ingredients. They offer a wide variety of items, including cannelli, kouign-amann, fruit tarts, and cruffins. I tried a passion fruit cruffin ($4.00 CAD), kouign-amann ($4.30 CAD), and a Chocolate Noisette (~$4.00 CAD). The Chocolate Noisette was excellent—crispy outside and soft, flavorful inside. The passion fruit cruffin was also very good, with a subtle fruit flavor and a tender texture. The kouign-amann, however, wasn’t my favorite; it was too crispy and crunchy throughout, but lacked softness inside, and I prefer the ones at Kouign-Amann Bakery right down the avenue. There are a few small tables inside, and on the day I visited, it wasn’t crowded. There’s also a restroom for customers. Overall, the staff are friendly, the pastries are elegant and refined, and I enjoyed my visit. I would definitely return and recommend this bakery.
A good bakery where you can sit to enjoy the delicious pastries. I really liked the lemon meringue pie, that’s the closest to what you can taste in France (although the white chocolate on the top is not adding anything to the experience). With each pastry, you can see different cooking techniques used to create each recipe. The taste is good and the balance is here, but for me it sometimes lacked something to have an explosion of flavor. I would definitely go back though since I only tried 3 pastries and there is a nice choice there :). Go and enjoy it ;)
Ô Petit Paris provided outstanding and professional service—all delivered with a warm smile. Everything was excellent. Of course, the croissant was brilliant, but what I really appreciated was the option of freshly pressed orange juice, which added a special touch to the meal. From the delicate food presentation to the taste, you can tell they are serious running the business with care and pride. Respect. Definitely recommended!
1️⃣ Great croissant 🥐 8/10! Simple classic! Make sure you go early when they just came out of oven! They always have a huge line up but employees are so efficient, it won’t take too long to be your turn. 2️⃣ Great Chouquette 9/10! I would definitely come back for this again and again! 👏🏻✨ 3️⃣ I did not like the Souvenirs de Swiss, way too sweet and heavy for me. 6/10 4️⃣ I did not like the Chaussons aux pommes🍎 , very big portions and good price however it was not crispy on the outside. (Personally opinion: I personally prefer there is less apple purée inside and have a nice feuilleté outside. I simply don’t like a chunky heavy Chaussons aux pommes. ) 6/10 5️⃣ I did not like the Cannelés, too sweet and completely moist everywhere. 5/10 Beautiful atmosphere, chill, friendly, modern! Perfect for Sunday me time. ☀️☕️ 📖 🥐 Well made branding, well designed tote bag, cute packaging! 👌🏻✨
