Piano Marvel Academy in Lubbock offers innovative group piano lessons for children and adults, blending expert instruction with the Piano Marvel app for personalized progress tracking. Led by Mr. Harris, our patient and encouraging approach fosters motivation through rewards, ensemble playing, and a supportive community. We make scheduling simple with simultaneous lessons for multiple skill levels, focusing on sight-reading, rhythm, theory, and performance to build confident musicians.
My daughter recently enrolled in Piano Marvel Academy to keep progressing as a piano player. We’ve known Mr. Harris for several years and he is always knowledgeable, patient, and truly committed to helping his students grow. The use of technology in the program allows students to learn at their own pace and earn rewards for their achievements, which helps improve motivation. I highly recommend this studio to anyone wanting to learn the piano (or wanting to enroll their children in a supportive program)!
I have known Joshua Harris for many years and have observed his success as a group piano teacher, both in a public school setting and in the first Piano Marvel Academy, located in Lubbock, TX. Josh is an expert at motivating students to work hard and learn the skill of playing the piano and sight-reading. The curriculum he is developing for Piano Marvel Academies is well-rounded, with an emphasis on teaching rhythm, sight-reading, theory, and performance. I love that he encourages his students to perform, and often in duet and ensemble groups, which fosters community and healthy social skills. He often rewards his students verbally, as well as through the reward system he has developed for the Academies, which encourages them to continue progressing through the various levels of learning and become competent musicians.
Great place! My son who is a little on the shy side has found his passion for piano. Definitely has boosted his confidence and skills. Mr. Harris is definitely a joy to watch as he teaches my son and other kids in class. He is very patient and knowledgeable. Very affordable and definitely worth it!
We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Piano Marvel Academy! All three of my kids (ages 6, 10, and 11) are able to attend lessons at the same time, which makes scheduling so much easier for our family. The program uses the Piano Marvel website/app, which is fantastic for tracking progress and pinpointing where each child is making mistakes so they can improve quickly. The website was very informative for me before I went in for their trial class. Mr.Harris - he does a great job keeping the kids motivated with fun incentives for practicing at home. Most importantly, he is extremely patient and encouraging with all of them — even when they’re at different skill levels. My children look forward to their lessons each week and are making steady progress. Highly recommend!
Our three children have been at Piano Marvel Academy for a little over a month now. My oldest two children previously took group piano lessons online, so I was very comfortable choosing a piano teacher who teaches group piano using an app. It means one lesson for our schedule instead of three, and it also means they get to play as a group and learn how to work as team musicians. The app allows them each to be at a different level and progress at their own speed. Win! Win! Win! In the month we’ve been here, I can already see an improvement in their rhythm, attitude toward practice, and sightreading ability. My youngest child has been so excited to join her older siblings in piano lessons, and Piano Marvel Academy has been a great fit for her, too. The Piano Marvel app has access to a wide library of music which my kids enjoy searching for music that they enjoy playing – film themes, Hymns, and more. Mr. Harris has been a fantastic teacher. He is patient, fun, explains things clearly, and he has been so great to work with our family’s schedule. I’m excited to hear my kids continue their musical learning journey.
