Anyone who attends regular Pilates lessons at this facility will truly be investing for their future. As a sufferer of osteoporosis and arthritis, the benefits have been quite outstanding for me. I have increased my bone density from osteoporosis to osteopenia in my back and to within the normal range in my hips. My arthritic knees have stopped hurting due to the leg muscles I have built up. This is definitely due to my Pilates lessons as I take no medications for these conditions. As an added benefit, my rib cage is more defined, the muscles I have built are long and lean and I am so much more flexible. I started with private lessons intending to move on to group lessons but the benefits I have had from individual attention and tuition have made me want to stick with one on one lessons. This is a warm and friendly studio where every client is made to feel valued and appreciated. I cannot recommend highly enough!
I started private sessions here a few weeks ago. Lauren has been absolutely wonderful to work with. I came in with lots of enthusiasm but basically zero knowledge, feeling totally disconnected from my body. She’s been patient and kind, but also equally direct and clear about each exercise and movement we’re working on. I’ve felt a big difference even after just a few weeks. You’re the best, Lauren! The rest of the staff is also a joy, very knowledgeable and easy to work with- helping me get things started and keep me on schedule working through the early days of building new, healthier habits. Not many of us men in attendance, but I have found my “workouts” there both challenging and very worthwhile... I was hesitant at first - had never done Pilates. It wasn’t on my list of things-to-do. But I am so far VERY glad my wife suggested it for both core training and stretching. The folks there are VERY welcoming and helpful, and the reason I have continued there with a “class pass”. After several classes, I am staying...... Check it out...
I'm a "Pilates Butterfly" and I've landed on Pilates & Yoga Center for several years now, because they have it all. Beautiful facility, easy parking, lovely and experienced teachers, and broad selection of classes. Karen, the owner, is one of the first Pilates teachers in Saint Louis, if not THE first.
This pilates center is a little slice of heaven. Just walking in the door makes the stress start to melt away. I am always welcomed by name and feel like I am home there. The owner, Karen, is absolutely wonderful and brings years of experience to her classes and private sessions. She has assembled an awesome team of instructors who are knowledgable, informative, kind and intuitive. It is at the same time both peaceful and invigorating. I love going!
