I absolutely adore Karen. I have hip and back issues as well as some ankle and foot problems, and am normally just miserable when working out. Not so with Karen. I love my time in her studio - I leave feeling accomplished. She is by my side the whole time encouraging me and making sure that I have everything engaged that should be. When something hurts, she will immediately come up with a modification. If you are considering Pilates and can swing the expense, DO IT! (Honestly even if you can’t afford it long term, I would say sign up and give it a go!)
I just had my first pilates session at Studio 210 with the wonderful instructor Karen, and I am absolutely thrilled to share my experience! Karen is a fantastic instructor. She is friendly and encouraging and helps us build our confidence (we're new to pilates) while gently inviting us to challenge ourselves. She was attentive and accommodating to our injuries and postpartum considerations. The studio is such a nice vibe with natural light, relaxing and feels like a spa. The studio is super clean and the equipment all seems very new and high quality. We've had a great workout with her every time. My mom raved about Karen after taking classes with her for about a year and said we absolutely have to take classes with her, and we totally see why! Karen’s positive energy and optimism are contagious! She has been teaching me Pilates since 2017 and I am so happy she has opened her new studio! Karen truly cares about her clients and her love of teaching shows. At age 58, I have arthritis and ongoing injuries due to other activities. Karen, with her expertise, patience and encouragement, is able to modify exercises to help strengthen those areas and keep me strong and flexible overall. After five years of Pilates, she continues to teach me new ways to improve my skills and I always leave her studio energized, encouraged and with my mood uplifted!
My first experience with Pilates was with Karen in 2018, and I am so happy I found both! I had tried working out with a trainer at the gym and many other avenues of getting into shape. Not until I started working with Karen did I see results. In how my clothes fit and how Karen transformed my figure. It’s the only time I’ve had people ask me what I was doing to lose weight (when I was mostly leaning out and firming/tightening). Additionally, I have some neck issues, and Karen can easily modify our routine so that I can continue to strengthen my neck without injuring it. I love seeing her work with young and old and am very thankful for her knowledge and expertise in this field. I look forward to weekly sessions with her, and my body does too!
