Last time I was here this was a Golds Gym location. Not to impressed : Only 1 ceiling fan and 1 large screen monitor for the entire first floor. How cheap can they be and charge same monthly as better locations. Machine mounted monitors dont work at all. Not an enjoyable experience but still better then Golds was for the money

i attempted to cancel in september of 2025 over the phone (which i can provide a copy of phone records for) and you guys went ahead and told me my membership was cancelled. come to find out in December i see you guys have still been charging me every month. so i sent an email through the planet fitness app to request cancellation and refund from the previous months, no response. mind you, i have not visited planet fitness since july 2025. i see you guys charged me once again for the annual fee. so i again, call planet fitness to cancel my membership and refund me, the man on the phone proceeds to tell me that you guys DONT do over the phone phone cancelations…. all of a sudden. and that i have to go in person. however the reason i cancelled is because i no longer have my car and planet fitness is not close to my new address, so i have no way to go in person. as soon as i mention that i will be contacting my bank, the guy conveniently says he’ll cancel the membership for me over the phone but i can’t get refunded. this is ridiculous and your guys’ practice is very descriptive considering how difficult you have made my multiple attempts to cancel my membership. i will be leaving a poor review and proceed to contact my bank to reverse all of the fraudulent charges. t

Beautiful and clean gym. They also have a lot of equipment and they all work. I like the fact that it has 2 floors. The showers were very clean and so we're the changing areas. The down side for me as a person with a heavy customer service background is that the front desk didnt say a word to me when I walked in. Not a single greeting and there were 3 of them in the front. It was also the middle of the day probably 1 pm. I say that because I dont make a big deal with greetings when its early morning or super late at night because people are usually tired or drained. I didnt pay it any mind but honestly its disturbing. Ive been to plenty of Planets in Long Beach and they all greet and ask if everything is going good. They were just talking to each other and paying me no mind. One of the guys even made eye contact with me and didnt say a word. I also didnt like the fact that it was a new gym but they didnt have lockless lockers. However the cleaning crew you all are doing an amazing job because the gym is spotless.

It's so easy to get in and out of this gym. The equipment counts the reps and time, and then rest time. That is so helpful! Last week I noticed a leg machine needed re-covering and some treadmills were not resetting properly. When I came in this week, all of these issues were resolved. I love that attention to detail, and I know I do not even need to point out these issues, the employees are on it. WTG Planet Fitness DTLB! Great space, great amenities, great music.

The building has two floors and has a cardio area, a weight training area, a massage area, lockers, a bathroom for all genders, bathrooms with showers for women only, and another for men only. It is super spacious. It is really well equipped , staff is very respectful and they are always cleaning and disinfecting the machines.
