Yay an entire area dedicated to Snoopy, as they should. Of course, Winterfest has a lot more Snoopy-themed affairs because of Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree 🌲 and you can buy holiday themed Snoopy souvenirs, like a plaid Snoopy or a Loungefly gingerbread Snoopy purse. There is also a Snoopy Holiday show that involves the other characters like Sally and Linus and a fruitcake. The rides include a small roller coaster and things that bob up and down at a short height. They could use a little TLC and the wait times are atrocious. But all in all, a whimsical area with loads of photo ops.
Idk why Great America would leave in the next 10 years... Because it is simply amazing. This is my end of the year post for themm. We bought Gold Passes in June 2024 and made our money back in 2 trips. Rides were working great, the shows, the Oktoberfest event? They somehow made the place inviting to adults to just go and hang for a little. It's a mini Knott's Berry Farm. Good job GA. Look forward to renewing our pass this year. But .. please make more Vegan options for food 🙏
Even during the holidays, it didn’t seem too crowded. For popular rides for kids aged 8 and up, the lines are long, with at least a 1-hour wait. However, rides for children under 6 aren’t as busy, so there’s no need to purchase a Fast Lane ticket. There seems to be a lack of rides suitable for children under 6. Aside from the rides, there are impressive decorations and various events to enjoy.
Planet Snoopy inside great america is made for little kids. Amazing atmosphere and great staff. Kids have bumper cars to drive my themselves, aeroplane, cars and even a skating ride. Park area with construction vehicles is genius too.
When you bring your youngest to her first theme park as she is finally taller than the 36-inch height requirement, you expect the little kids area to have working rides. We visited on a Wednesday when the park was fully open, paying full price and expected the rides to be working but half of the rides in Planet Snoopy were closed. The working rides were old and dirty! Same story for older kids' rides: Many rides were closed with no sign posted on whether they would open later in the day. Also, most of their staff is rude and wouldn't even smile. It almost seemed like they were forced to work there. When you are here with your kids, you expect to be treated as customers/guests. I would not recommend this not-so-Great America! Don't waste your money and your time here!
