Yesterday was my first time there, and they came highly recommended! It’s safe to say that Sassi and myself have found a new and lifelong groomer!!! The staff was super friendly and greeted me and Sassi immediately upon stepping into the shop. Sassi is not new to the grooming process and surprisingly did not present with any hesitation and willingly walked into the grooming area with the staff; which was not my experience with our previous groomer. When it was time for pick her up, I was again tended to immediately, even though her groomer was busy with another pet. It was explained what was done and how well she behaved. My Sassi came out happy as ever and smelling amaze-balls! Additionally, they offer a smooth contactless payment method if you prefer, making checkout quick and seamless! Thank You so much Pooch La Vie, and see you soon! Malissa
I took my 3-year-old Shih Tzu to this grooming salon after our regular groomer went on maternity leave. My dog is very used to being groomed and has always been praised for his calm, cooperative behavior. I arrived promptly at 12:00 PM for our appointment, but he wasn’t ready until 5:30 PM — over five hours later, which is completely unreasonable for a small dog. When I checked in during the wait, I was shocked to see he had been fitted with a prevention collar — something he has never needed before. This was extremely concerning, especially considering his previously stellar behavior with other groomers. Since this visit, he has been noticeably traumatized and anxious, making future grooming appointments difficult. I’ve even had groomers call me mid-appointment to pick him up early, or charge extra just to have a second person assist — something we’ve never dealt with before this experience. Although this salon came highly recommended, my experience was beyond disappointing. This was the worst grooming decision I’ve ever made, and I deeply regret bringing him here. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and if I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would.
So this place is just not consistent with providing quality service. So I first used this grooming service about 6 weeks ago and I was pleased because they were able to tend to my dog since she is a Pitt/Husky with anxiety. Now my dog is very anxious like she shivers. Anyway they had my dog from 2:30-7:30pm. She was clean and smelled amazing. I asked them if she was any bother and they said no they said she wasn’t really barking or nothing. So in my brain I’m thinking they can handle her and this would be Cookie’s groomer. Boy was I wrong. So I dropped Cookie off this past Friday for the same service. Now the first time o took Cookie I was told that she the grooming service would be 4-5hrs, so I scheduled the next appointment with that same time frame in mind. Prior to me returning my girlfriend brought her dog to them but they cut my girlfriend’s dog stating that the dog was hyper. But I deceived to go against my judgement, Well I was Wrong. I took her at 9am and the guy who took her back read the notes and stated to me that she would be there for only 2-3hrs because the day was light. About 30 mins after I dropped her off I was called because they said my dog was too anxious and that she was barking at the smaller dogs, and she was dead weighting herself when they tried to put her in the tub. So the guy who called me asked me if I wanted to talk to the groomer and I was like ok. Now I’m thinking the groomer wanted to talk to me because when he was talking to me, it seemed like he was just relaying a message and there were other people talking in the background. Anyway the groomer got on the phone and was like Hello, and I said Hello, he said Hello again.. and I said Hey and then he stated oh you wanted to talk to the groomer in a sassy tone. So I was like was everything ok.. then he started telling me that my dog was dead weighting herself and almost broke their tub which I was Confused. As to what did you do last time that was different from this time. So I think They were rushing so the time they took before probably allowed them time to make her feel comfortable. Anyway then he suggested I get my dog some trazodone or gabapentin(spelling may be wrong) for her anxiety and that she pooped twice. They ended the service due to the risk of them giving her an anxiety attack. It’s funny because my dog was anxious the first time. My other issue is that I feel like the service was ended because they wanted to get in and out and since she is a bigger dog it would have taken more time than they would have wanted it to take. I just do not think they are fully equipped to handle dogs of all breeds. And I’m pretty sure if I would have pushed back it would have been some back and forth. I have Read other reviews and do not expect anything different in this owners style of not taking feedback without trying to flip a customer’s issue on the consumer. So I do Not expect anything different. I just wish the service could have been consistent with the patient quality care my dog received the 1st time. For the owner I am Not posting this to go back and forth with you, this is being posted so you can work with your staff to commit to provided quality consistent professional service to every customer. I do not need any critique because this is not my business it’s yours so I kindly ask that you take my words as an attempt to help refine your business ethics and services because consistent service is how consumers return. Take away.. I feel like I was misinformed about the timeframe that the service would take and hence I feel like anxious dog was rushed which didn’t help her anxiety. So being gentle and caring is important. Also, to tell me that my dog almost broke your tub, made me think that the materials that you are using are not durable which I hope this is not the case. I just Think this company could enhance their brand by being consistent with providing quality service.
I couldn’t be more ecstatic with the service! From the moment we walked in, the staff treated my plushy with such care and kindness. The grooming was beyond my expectations my little one looks absolutely adorable, smells so fresh, and came out happier than ever. It’s clear they truly love what they do. I’m so grateful to have found a groomer who not only makes my plushy look amazing but also keeps them comfortable and joyful. Highly recommend to any pet parent who wants the best for their fur baby! 🐾✨
The owner is so nice and incredibly clear in communication between booking, costs, time frames and even getting clarity on dog behaviors. We brought our rescue dog here for his first professional groom and they did such a good job taking care of him that he even left happier mentally. They’re starting a doggy daycare program that we’re going to be enrolling our sweet child in soon and I can’t wait to be apart of that/give them our business. This place is the prime example of how a small business should be run and taking your animal anywhere is simply a loss for you as a consumer/client. Would give more than 5 stars if possible.
