I've loved PN and spent incalculable thousands of $$ over the last 15 years there. I go in summer, winter, doesn't matter. Some changes recently have been welcome (I love the new paint job and return of the plant sale table). However, some changes are worrisome. The massive amount of retail space taken from usable tools to items that are at best, loosely related to gardening is annoying. I've found many long term team members that I relied on for truly usable advice have left in the last year. Experienced employees seem less... joyful, and there are a lot more novice employees who seem to have very little practical plant knowledge. Prices at PN have skyrocketed in the last 5 years, but it was still worth it because of the vast inventory and amazing advice. But those employees that left have scattered to other nurseries where prices are better, if the inventory is less. I hope the new owners can find a balance of new revenue streams and efficiency and not ruining what made PN special.

Beautiful plant nursery with a lovely gift shop and a huge selection of plants for sale at reasonable prices. I could have spent hours there, but had signed up for a holiday wreath-making class. They offer a variety of classes throughout the year. Wonderful experience!

Great selection of plants, but unfortunately the plant I bought here was thoroughly infested with spider mites, which I didn’t notice at the time of purchase (I’m a novice plant owner). I just moved into a new apartment and had no other house plants so I know that it was infested when I got it. I have treated it with neem oil and kept it hydrated but it’s very clear that I am losing the battle. $40 down the drain.

I love this place and have always gotten good results with their starts. I however read reviews noting their plants had bugs. Knowing this I inspected mine upon purchase and kept an eye on them/away from others. I noticed some small bugs on my cute puffball and am now able to treat it and keep it thriving. Thankful for that heads up in other reviews. Shout out to the really nice staff and awesome selection of pots.
