What a wonderful experience for me and my dog, Connor ! He's 9 years old and I don't know his history but I will return to Posh Pooch as long as I have him. He's actually running now and acting like a puppy. Great experience!
I've been grooming my doodle for the last 2 or 3 years and for the first time I thought I would take him to have him done professionally. Jess at a stellar job and we will definitely be back!
Brought my 17 year old dog here for the first time, his groomer was Jess and she did a fantastic job, she was so attentive and listened to what I was asking for. He has sensitive paws and skin and she was still able to get the job done perfectly. He was so happy when I picked him up, I will definitely be coming back here! Thank you to Jess and posh pooch !
I called to tell you all my experience, but no one answered or returned my call so this review is well deserved and I’m great at reviews. I called and scheduled an appointment for my dog and was specific on what I wanted. To find out when I arrived to the shop that the person I spoke with wasn’t going to groom my dog was a red flag. When I first walked into the shop there was slight rudeness. I told the lady that I was on the fence about keeping my standard poodle’s pompoms and her response was “those don’t look right anyway” excuse me??. First off all, we are new to the area and decided to trust you all with my dog’s grooming needs. Our previous groomer was a certified AKC groomer for standard poodle show dogs and he left her a layout that she couldn’t even follow! That was red flag number 2 and I should have left after that comment and plus my dog didn’t even want to go to the back with her. The energy was completely off. Long story short, this lady did a terrible job on my boy. I mean TERRIBLE. No wonder she was trying to rush me to pay before I saw him. At the register, I asked her “where is my dog?” “How does he look”, Now this the icing on the cake, that lady said “HE LOOK BETTER THAN WHAT YOU WANTED” I kid you not, this was the worse experience I’ve ever had from a groomer. I’d be better off going to PetSmart. Once I took my dog home I was able to thoroughly check him out. I had to cut more of his hair off and everything was uneven. I’m VERY supportive to local businesses, but I will never support you all again. That lady needs a reality check before she ruins the business. Maybe if she turn the light on in the front she can see what she’s done. I will post pics of her work and how my boy look before. Humble yourself Ms. Lady.
I really tried to give this place a chance. The owner is very nice but the older woman cutting the hair is not only unpleasant but she does what she wants. I’m not picky. I asked the first time for her to be shaved down and the hair on her head left alone for her top knot. The first cut had several uneven areas but my pup was clean, smelled great, and I figure as humans we can’t always do things perfectly so I gave her and her attitude the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to her possibly having a bad day. I came back today for the second cut and I told her that I decided I wanted her shaved a little bit today as well but to leave her head alone again. First she was slightly argumentative stating that my pup didn’t need a cut. After I insisted that I want one, then she said “yeah she is all matted”. I asked her to show me one matt because she had NONE. And then she recanted and said “ohh yeah, she doesn’t have any” but had an attitude when asking me to show her the length I wanted. When I picked her up, she did exactly the ONLY thing I asked her not to do which is cut the hair on her head! And to top it off, it’s uneven and looks rushed! I’m sorry, but I refuse to beg someone to perform the service I’m asking for and deal with a nasty attitude. I’ll just take my money elsewhere and I’ll have my mother cancel her appointment as well. I’m a simple customer that just wants to keep her fur at about an inch or less and her top knot. Nothing else.
