I've been a customer of the Woodlands location for maybe two or three years. Most of my rentals are from these guys. They've always been somewhat slow with customer transactions, but I always attributed it to new staff (a revolving door, by the way) or the mom-and-pop feel the store gives me. I always gave them grace and understanding. However, after my last experience, this place will probably never get my business again. And I say "probably" because if I'm in a pinch and HAVE to deal with them for my business to operate, so be it. About two months ago, I came in to rent a lens for a real estate photography shoot. I was unfortunately denied due to a "you must book all rentals online 24 hours before pickup" policy that had been implemented. Again, I've been dealing with them since 2023 or so, and I've never had to go through this process. I've built my business around the fact that if a last-minute shoot ever pops up, I can always be "in and out" with Precision. I asked if an email had been sent out to their clientele notifying us of the change, to which the employee replied, "We're working on it." I let her know that there was no way for me to have known that and that I had a shoot that day that required me to rent. She had no solution at all. Just, "No"... very disappointing. After getting in my car, I checked the website and, you guessed it, it wasn't posted there either. Again, I've always given grace and understanding for the slow-poke service, bad phone lines, and janky computers that ping-pong you around the entire store just to complete a transaction. But coupling it with the lack of empathy and solution-based processes for each issue is what did it for me. Absolute last resort of a "business". If you're willing/able to drive, Humble Camera is a great alternative. Bailed me out of this situation with friendly walk-in service.

I called about ten minutes after the store opens ask if a lens was in stock. The lens is available from Precision Camera online so I figured it would be best to buy in person. The person that originally helped me said that they didn't see it available but would have someone call me back that knows more about lenses. I asked that they please call me back since i was trying to avoid purchasing from a company online. I waited till about a quarter till 2pm to see if anyone was available that could check for the lens availability and called back. The person on the line had me wait on hold, which is perfectly fine, but they did not have it in stock. There was no offer to order the lens for pickup or have it delivered. Save yourself the time and just order from somewhere online.

This is such an amazing camera store! I walked in and I felt like I was in Disney world haha. It has everything you could ever need and they let you play around with the equipment and test out different lenses and they are so knowledgeable about each product. I went in looking for a specific lens and Joey was so helpful and very patient with me as I shopped around and took a long time, I found my perfect lens ( a pretty big purchase) and Joey made me feel confident in my decision, I even looked for a new camera bag and he pulled out everything I would bring on a shoot to make sure it would fit when I take the bag back home, I’m so excited about my new lens and if you’re curious to see how the 70-200 f/2.8 Sony looks then follow my page @citygirllens and @citylens_media on Instagram!! Just give us a call to talk to our sales team or chat with us online! *Price matching can only be done with Authorized Dealers and must not go below our cost. *Price matching excludes all film products. “ I came in to purchase a Sigma Lens 60-600M and was denied to purchase at the advertised price on the lens. I’ve spent $$$$ of dollars in this woodland store and was a very big supporter until they did not allow me purchase this Lens for $1,999.00 which was a tagged and clearly marked on the box for this lens what I asked to look at it. Joey and Sean denied me from making this purchase and wanted me to buy at $2,199 instead of what they had on the box. Terrible service! Beware! The lowest price guaranteed is a lie, especially, if they cannot honor their own price that they are advertising in the store.
