First time here and the atmosphere and service were great. The steak looked excellent when it arrived, and I started eating right away. After a few bites, I noticed it had only been seared on one side. I chose not to mention it, as it likely would have been sent back to be fixed, and I didn’t want that since it was already at the table. Not very appetizing when flipped unfortunately.
We made reservations the week before Christmas, so everything was decorated and felt very romantic. The ambiance would have been great without the decorations, though! It's a very dark, classic feeling space with leather, wood, and old paintings everywhere. The staff was very nice and attentive, and helped us decide which steak to try. Two of us shared the shoulder steak, pork chop, brussel sprouts, and lobster mac. We loved the steak and sprouts—they were perfect. My husband enjoyed the pork chop, but there was some spice on it or something that I didn't love. The Mac was creamy and decadent, but the lemon and sweetness of the Swiss cheese threw us off. So nothing was wrong with it, it just wasn't our style. We'll definitely be back to try more items!
Nice ambiance and delicious food but the service was less attentive than I expected. They forgot multiple of our orders and when we asked about them they offered to make it but we were almost done eating at that point. There was also some other misses with the service with spills and just general lack of care. They did comp the orders they missed and the food was really good so with better service I may go back!
Intimate lobby restaurant in a historic building. Great place for a date night, celebration, or even a dinner out with friends. Did not seem stuffy or have a specific dress code required. Service was great and we liked mostly everything we ordered. Garlic Pull Apart Bread - Soft with a slightly crisp exterior and a slight garlic flavor. Good, but if you are expecting a garlic butter bread, this was not be it. Spaghetti Pomodoro - Rich for how simple it looks. It has a vibrant tomato flavor and was "buttery". It did not have an acidic taste that some tomato-based sauces have. Delicious and comforting. The Denver Steak in medium rare - Perfectly cooked and juicy. Horseradish cream was also on point. Fries - Thin, but overly salted. Although the sauces that came with paired well, we would not get these fries again. Parking - Valet stand at the front entrance. Valet guy is prompt and accepts card payments.
We went to celebrate our anniversary. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. They also gave us a card with a handwritten note, which made us feel extra special. We went for the Denver and the shoulder steak. Certainly one of the most tender cuts I have experienced in a long time.
