I've been coming to this place regularly because the service is excellent, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to assist with whatever I need, and it's truly a place I can rely on. However, during my most recent visit, I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the reception area and the bathrooms. They were much dirtier than usual, and I’m not sure if it was just bad luck that the cleaning staff wasn’t around at the time, but it definitely impacted my experience. I’ve never had this issue before, so I hope it was just an isolated incident. Overall, I will continue coming back because of the great service, but I do hope the cleanliness issue can be addressed moving forward. It's important to maintain the same high standard of care in every aspect of the experience.

I get the impression that Ramos Tax tax preparers mostly copy numbers from clients' tax forms into some tax software. I don't think that's a problem as long as that's understood to be the case before agreeing to pay for their services. I made the mistake of making assumptions about the service I hired Ramos Tax to provide and paid the consequences. I offer this information to hopefully avoid similar issues in the future. Every year since tax year 2022 when Ramos Tax first prepared my taxes, I've been subject to a penalty by the IRS now totaling over $1000. I discovered this on my own and when I brought it to the attention of Ramos Tax, one tax preparer and the branch manager both didn't understand the issue, but they set the expectation that they would help correct the situation and pay me back for the penalties. Instead, they ghosted me for 2 weeks and when I finally managed to get a meeting with the branch manager, he denied all responsibility. At that point, I had already filed my taxes with a different preparer because Ramos Tax didn't contact me when they said they would and ignored my messages, so the only consolation I was offered was and empty apology and a credit for a free tax preparation service in the future. Needless to say, that is worthless to me. For context, I made an excess contribution to an IRA simply knowing that I should be saving for retirement (my income is normally nowhere near the cutoff limit for IRA contributions, but I received an inheritance). I hired Ramos Tax with the expectation that they understand IRS rules/tax codes and that they'd be able to warn me of any issues and especially any penalties that could arise when preparing my taxes. However, the branch manager made it abundantly clear that he doesn't understand all of the basic rules of individual retirement accounts and that it's not the responsibility of any tax preparer at Ramos Tax to understand them.
