Incredible first experience at Razza! The service was truly top tier. Nate checked on us throughout the meal, and Kevin, who I believe is a manager, also made sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was amazing and ideal for a date night or special occasion. We ordered the bread with butter and caviar, meatballs with ricotta, two pizzas including the East Coast Margherita and the Santo, two non alcoholic beverages, panna cotta for dessert, and even took home a sourdough loaf. Everything was delicious and well prepared, with the Santo being our favorite pizza. The attention to detail really stood out. Plates were replaced between courses, crumbs were cleared from the table, and our leftovers were even stored in the back until we were ready to leave, with a token given to redeem them. You do not often see that level of service at a pizzeria. For transparency, our total came to $151 for two adults before tip. It is definitely a splurge, but completely worth it for the quality, service, and overall experience. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful Friday night dinner at Razza in Jersey City. We started with the bread and butter flight and really enjoyed tasting the different cultured butters — such a fun and unique way to begin the meal. Next was the kale Caesar salad, which tasted fresh, well-balanced, and not overly heavy. For our main, we ordered two personal pizzas for the two of us. One was the Guancia with guanciale, which was excellent — rich, flavorful, and perfectly paired with Razza’s outstanding red sauce. The crust on both pizzas was cooked beautifully: crispy, airy, and not overdone. The second pizza was the Cavolini. While it was well executed, the melted anchovy made it a bit too fishy for my personal taste, so I wouldn’t order that one again. Overall, the quality of the food is excellent and the experience was very enjoyable. My only reason for deducting a star is the price — our bill came to over $150 for two people for pizza and salads, which felt steep for the food. That said, Razza clearly delivers on craftsmanship and flavor, and it’s still a great spot for a special night out.
Had a wonderful family birthday dinner and was able to try multiple pies, each was amazing. Amazingly thin, zero flop, extreme flavor and perfect char level! We started with the bread and butter sampler and it was something we’d never had before. Great taste and even the bread was great. Each pie was full of flavor and was happy we had enough folks to try so many. Every one was amazing and I could easily have had any on its own. The Rutgers hazelnut was not what I expected at all, in a good way, not sweet but balanced taste perfectly. I understand why this pizza is so highly rated and acclaimed. Desserts were equally impressive although I enjoyed the tiramisu more than the olive cake. Overall a great experience and I look forward to returning.
Went here for the first time a few weeks ago and I'm already looking forward to coming back again in the future! Our party of 3's bill came out to $117.29, pre-tip—a bit expensive, but not too bad considering how good the service and food was. To start, we got the butter tasting—the first two butters were our fav; the third was a bit too funky for two of us, but my one friend said he liked it. The sourdough and baguette were really good, but a bit chewier than I would've preferred. Still very good though; and they were available for purchase so you could take a loaf home. For mains, one of my friends got the yellow margherita, which he said was better than the tomato pie he got the first time. My other friend got the calabrese, which he said he loved—I had a slice of it, and for me, it was the best bite of the night. So ridiculously good. I got the pepperoni, and it was also an amazing, high quality pep pizza. The doughs had a good taste and char and were really pleasantly chewy. The only drawback—reservations are hard to make. My friend made ours weeks in advance, so def plan ahead if you want to dine here. Def would recommend this place for a fancy date night or if you're celebrating something. It was a truly lovely dinner experience made even better by the very nice wait staff—S/O to our server Alicia, she was so sweet and made sure our glasses were never empty. Looking forward to coming back again.
A great experience as always. We started with the butter tasting appetizer, then ordered three pies Calabrese, Di Napoli, and Guancia plus a bottle of wine. Everything was excellent, just as expected. The food was on point and the staff were friendly and attentive. Special shoutout to Kevin for being so accommodating with our seating request. Love this place and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who hasn’t been yet.
