I had an antique Gunstock office chair that desperately needed attention. Boy did it get attention. Mark and his team got the wood looking great, and the leather seat was expertly done by Allied custom upholsterers. I am so pleased, as is my wife. I would mention, they are very busy and you might want to get appraised of their turn around time for your project. These people are craftspeople and very skillful in their approach.

I brought in an old demilune shelf that had been damaged in shipping. One of the legs had broken off in transit to me and I wanted it to be gold-leafed. It looks more like it was sprayed with gold paint, rather than gold-leaf, and I can easily see where the leg was glued back on. It’s not what I was expecting, which was disappointing. The owner was nice, but his wife is not. They close before 5:00pm and are closed on weekends, which made it difficult for me to pick up the shelf. The owner’s wife left me a voicemail threatening to sell my shelf if I didn’t pick it up asap.

Worth Every Penny - Exceeded Expectations!! I highly recommend you hire them to do the job!! I trusted Remarkable Refinishing to restore my family's heirloom - 150 yr old walnut dining table. The entire process was easy, smooth and fast. From quote to pickup to delivery. When I first reviewed their quote, I thought it was a little high. After doing some research on the company I was more comfortable, given their reputation (35 years in bus.) I moved forward. Upon receiving the dining table ( 3 leaf's and 6 chairs) sooner than expected, I think they may have under charged me! The finished product exceeded all my expectations (and they were lofty). The stain was exactly what we asked for, and the repairs they did make the table seem brand new. The table is 150+ years old, and they restored all its glory, plus some (higher quality stain available today).

I own an antique secretary, and for months I was unable to find anyone who was either willing or equipped to repair a faulty piece. I was referred to "Mark" at Remarkable Refinishings by two separate Hardware stores in the Sacramento area. I could not be happier with both him and his family's customer service, as well as the quality of his repairs. They are fair and frank in their price estimates and their timeline. Quality takes time, however, and if you can have patience, "quality" is what you can expect from Mark and his family at Remarkable Refinishings.
