Awaken did an excellent job helping us completely transform our back yard. The design help from Raquel (Solea Landscapes) and Steve was a major factor in us choosing to work with them – and it was the right choice! From design to plant selection to the excellent work from Jose & team, we are very happy with the results. The project moved along swiftly and came in on-budget. Communication could be a bit smoother between client / management / work team but nothing egregious. They do a great job of tracking receipts and expenses, makes the whole process very transparent. We definitely recommend working with Awaken. For reference, our project was 2000-2500 sq ft, included clearing the yard to a blank slate, drainage work, drip irrigation, low voltage lighting, 150+ plantings, decomposed granite pathway, team-built garden boxes.

Awaken Landscapes is a perfect example of how “small is beautiful” when it comes to business. The co-founders, Steve and Raquel, plus their wonderful crew, are personable, have a deep sense of vocation, and take pride in their designs and installations. We are grateful that they turned our backyard into a real garden, which we will enjoy for years to come. As much as we marvel at the final result, we also appreciate the process of getting there. The pricing was fully transparent and the designing truly collaborative. They showed us options for the hardscape and invited us to go with them to buy plants. That was an enjoyable afternoon—they explained what would work best and at the same time were open to our suggestions. I had such a great experience with Awaken Landscaping! The team was friendly, reliable, and worked efficiently. They transformed my yard and went above and beyond to make sure everything looked perfect. I’ll definitely be using them again! If you are looking to get some work done I Highly recommend them!!

The team at Awaken Landscapes is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to trees, and they work quickly and efficiently. Steve helped us trim our large lemon tree at the beginning of the year, and it has never looked healthier. His expertise and care were clear from the start. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why, ensuring the tree would grow back stronger. Now it’s fuller, thriving, and producing more fruit than ever! We couldn’t be happier with the results. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands plants and takes pride in their work, Awaken Landscapes is the way to go. Highly recommended!

Steve and his crew were excellent to work with. Steve really understood the direction I was going with my yard And helped me to complete my goals while also making useful suggestions. They did a major cleanup, removed several unruly plants, fixed irrigation issues, trimmed back several trees, prepped areas for future planting, added bark throughout the yard, replaced edge strips, and planted some new plants. I am going to have him come back to work with me on replacing a lawn that they removed with something more water wise. I would definitely hire them again for future projects ( They did such a thorough job. I’m not sure what else I will need!)
