Our kids have been doing jujitsu for a couple years now, but since starting with Renzo 5mo ago they have made their biggest advancements. We've sampled many gyms in the area and Renzo by far has the most competitive kids class plus you can go 5 days/week if you want. We love all the live rolling they get to do, the instruction is top notch, and the support at the tournaments is terrific. They've made friends, they have fun and their jujitsu grows. Win-win!

When I walked in for a drop in for the first time here Coach Max was very welcoming. He gave great instruction and I can tell this was a first class BJJ gym. Very clean facility and very spacious. Can't wait to train here again!

I started my jiu jitsu journey here. Max and his coaches have built a welcoming community for both newcomers and veterans of the sport. As someone who has visited multiple gyms throughout my career, I always find myself wanting to come back to Renzo's in Reno. It is one of the best gyms in the nation.

In Reno on a work trip and was invited by a friend to come out and train. From the moment I walked in everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Quickly filled out their waiver and jumped on the mats for some great detailed instruction from a very attentive Max Mcgarr. Really solid group of people that made it a pleasure to train here. Very clean facility with locker rooms, bathrooms, waiting area, and lots of space to put your gear down.

If you want easy, go somewhere else. Renzo Gracie Reno is where warriors are built. Coach Max McGarr is a machine — Built like a tank, teaches like a tactician. He doesn’t just teach; he builds. Leaders. Fighters. Better humans. His coaching style works for newbies and old dogs like me. The vibe is humble but hungry. The talent runs deep — from fresh white belts to killers on the comp scene. Everyone lifts each other up. Huge plus: mats and gym are extremely clean. Max runs a world-class room with zero ego and full intensity. You show up, you work, you grow. Respect. Discipline.
