this has been my home academy for over 2 years. i have never train martial arts before and i was welcomed with open arms by the entire community. professor jaime has incredible martial arts knowledge that he enthusiastically loves to teach with. the level of care he has for all his students, whether it’s past or present, is extremely rare and exceptional. i couldn’t recommend a better place to start or continue your martial arts journey. if you’ll like to train nogi, professor ilia is also an absolutely incredible instructor. whether it is bjj, muay thai, or mma there’s a great class for everyone.

RGLA has been the most welcoming place to learn Muay Thai. The coaches are absolute gems—professional, kind, encouraging, and great at breaking down complex movements into digestible instructions. There’s no toxic masculine energy here. I’ve never felt more comfortable as a woman training in a new space than at Renzo. There are even free women’s only classes on the weekends. The emphasis here is on technique with a mix of pad work, partner drills, and sparring. This is the place to come if you want to really learn fundamentals and good technique.

I've been training here for a year and have practiced for years in New York and Brazil. Jamie and his team create an incredible training atmosphere—welcoming and professional. The instruction is top-notch, and the community is amazing.

To start off, I would like to say that overall my experience has been incredible! This is thanks to all the amazing coaches like: Ilia, Jaime, Wasly, Jessica, etc. I have done pretty much every martial art this gym has to offer, and don't get me wrong the Muay thai is amazing but personally, I prefer BJJ no-gi and the MMA class.

I’m a black belt training in NYC. I visited RGLA for the first time. Took a Friday morning class and had a lovely time, I will definitely be back while I’m in town. Great instruction, good live rounds and great facilities. Both Gi and No Gi training is excellent!
