Unimpressed. Overpriced for what they have to offer. From the start it was not as expected for a massage at a 4 star resort. The locker dressing area looked like a restroom at a Dillard's back in the day. After getting a locker I was confused on where to go with no signage. Couldn't use indoor spa it wasn't working. Never found the pool or outdoor jacuzzi. Was given a robe that was old, discolored, tattered & been washed 1000 times felt like a hospital gown. Would have worn my own robe if I knew what was offered. After going upstairs was even more disappointed to arrive in waiting room that looked like my Grandma's basement in 2010. The blinds were cheap paper, tapestries are old, discolored outlet covers, no seating available for the too many people there. A dirty cheap rug covering the rotting wood floors. Couldn't find my way outside as no signage. Found a door that opened so I could try to relax, only to be on a balcony overlooking the parking lot. Was found by the massage therapist cause there are so many people you get to experience the walk where you start to wonder if this is a groupon or a 4 star resort. You walk the halls like the Shining while therapists are standing in front of many doors. Felt like a brothel not a spa. Get to room to again find old tattered, sheets & a face cover that smelled like dirty towels. It wasn't soft or luxurious at all. It gave me so many wrinkles imprinted on my face I was embarrassed to leave. I paid extra for a therapeutic massage, can't imagine what the basic was as the therapeutic was up there with my home massages by untrained professionals. The oil used was gross, smelled like nothing. Once finally done I was nothing but oily, & irritated I wasted my money & time. Save yourself & go to another resort spa or chain. I have been to many different spas & many massages. This was the worst experience by far. Left without using any amenities as I was so disappointed. We canceled our plans for Chistmas & are choosing a different resort to house our guests. In my opinion they need to do some serious changes it's nasty.
I recently visited Revive Spa at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge and, unfortunately, left feeling very underwhelmed. For the premium prices they charge, I expected a truly luxurious spa experience—but what I got fell far short. The amenities were extremely limited for a spa of this caliber. There was no cold plunge, no hydrotherapy options, and the steam and sauna facilities felt like an afterthought. The relaxation areas lacked ambiance and felt more like an afterthought than a true escape. To make matters worse, there was no air conditioning in the waiting area—just about 8 standing fans trying (and failing) to cool the space. For a high-end spa in Arizona, this was honestly unacceptable and made it uncomfortable to relax before or after treatments. The services themselves were fine—nothing exceptional—but certainly not worth the steep cost. At this price point, you expect a top-tier, all-day experience with extensive amenities, thoughtful details, and exceptional service. Sadly, Revive missed the mark on all fronts. There are many other spas in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area that offer far better value, more amenities, and a truly rejuvenating experience. I won’t be returning to Revive and wouldn’t recommend it.
My husband and I spent the day here in April and had a lovely time! Pros: The staff are so attentive and helpful. The service they provided was really welcoming and high quality. Rosario was the sweetest, and my masseuse Yelena was super. The facilities were very clean and well-maintained. The outdoor pool area was fantastic and so spacious. Not to mention that the whole respite is surrounded by nature, but it also isn’t too far from the outdoor shopping center Desert Ridge. Cons: Our only reservation was that there wasn’t other spa co-ed experiences available besides the pool or couples massage. It would be nice to have the option to sauna or steam in the same area as one’s partner. Overall, Revive Spa is a picturesque getaway with wonderful staff and great facilities/location. We recommend it if you’re looking for an impromptu spa break while dealing with the bustling city of Phoenix!
Such a beautiful day!!! My massage was top notch. Entire experience was epic. Pool was clean, food delicious, drinks refreshing. Don't forget to check out the garden. SO gorgeous. Also, the robes are lovely.
All the staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. They seem to be very willing to help. I didn't think the $35 day spa pass had much value. There is also a 20% tip added onto your bill. You could sit in their steam room or sauna and had access to the lockers, showers and pool. It was very quiet. The staff started coming out to the pool around 11. The hammocks were wet and had tree debris in them. The pool looked like it needed a good cleaning. I had a nice Cobb salad that was of good size.
