via Google Everybody else I called about replacing the innertube and tire I already purchased quoted me 50 and higher, and told me Id have to drop my ebike off for roughly a day, when I called these guys and their price was 30 over the phone, and came out to $27 and change, which I let them keep as a tip. I brought my ebike in, they mounted it to the rack and went to work. Took longer to ride the bus from the far NW side into the Medical Center. Great job guys!

I just purchased a prestine & well tuned road bicycle from Ride Away Bicycles. My customer experience with Ride Away of the past 2 years has been filled with service that was both consistent & attentive to my specific needs as an everyday commuter of cycling. I am happy to have found mechanics I can trust & was comfortable making the purchase of my Giant brand bicycle a worthy investement.
Previously, I was regularly servicing an older low end bicycle that was within my price range & of sentiment. I was always provided a myriad of readily available solutions, as well as, very taylored & unique alternative references to parts/services to mechanical issues. Never was I pressured into sales, or neglected in my concerns. These mechanics absolutely know what they are talking about between decades worth of bike makes & model types. I feel they always maintain safety as a number one priority, as well as performance & budget.
Ride Away Bicycles has a reputation that precedes them, as many people Ive ridden with have made citation to them over the years as being a quality shop. Their Newest store location is a large, clean, comfortable atmosphere that is stocked everywhere the eye can see. Everytime you step in, if you are not greeted by the beautiful tan brown shop dog you will be greeted by a mechanic wrenching on a bike saying over his shoulder "Hi, what can we do for you today?" they have an extraordinary double sided hydraulic bike stand that is never empty. They remember people, and bicycle history by memory & ask for updates on the resoultion without prompt.
Whether you need a tube, or want a new bike Ruben (the owner) and all of his mechanic staff will be able to provide service not only do you not get in other shops..but just in the city period. Many times, they have discounted a service for me, stayed after hours to work on my bicycle, & even most recently drove me home with my bicycles in inclimate whether during traffic hour. This isn't solely my experience... I witness other returning customers leaving smiling, joking, and just in a great mood overall.

I brought in my teens bike, his primary mode of transportation to and from school and the gym because his brakes were busted, talked with the technician about some home diy ducttape repairs and if they could be permanently repaired. My only concern was being able to get the bike back to my kiddo before school was out so he could go to the gym and home after. Well they were awesome and got to work on it same day I have the bike back, it rides like new (replaced chain and worn out gears) shifter and break all replaced and they even put new Grips on the handlebars (the existing ones look pretty chewed up)
This mom is grateful to have the bike fixed so quickly and to know he can stop without having to do sketchy stuff while riding home tonight.
100% worth every penny! Reasonably priced, plus a 30 day labor warranty for any needed adjustment on the repairs. Teen was extatic when he got a test ride after dropping it off. I know I'll be coming back here again if we need work and when he's ready to upgrade.

Suchit Chiduralavia Google I just got my first road bike and brought it in for some maintenance. I am new to cycling but the staff were very generous and excited to explain to me about various maintenance tips. They also were able to fix up some minor problems in a day and were very fair and honest in their pricing. If you have any problems with your bike, this is your place to go!

Evia Google WOW, I'm impressed with this shop. I needed urgent assistance today. My bike's spoke snapped while riding at Flat Rock Ranch yesterday, and I needed a quick repair. Fortunately, Ruben, the mechanic, was on hand, and he didn't disappoint. Ruben is a true professional - knowledgeable and efficient. He fixed my wheel in just 15 minutes, and his service was fast and friendly. The staff in this shop are great too. I can ride again tomorrow and prepare for my upcoming race thanks to Ruben.
Update on New Location
I enjoyed visiting Rideaway Bicycles in San Antonio and highly recommend it! Ruben, Bob, and Ed have done an incredible job with the new shop. I traveled from Durango, Colorado, and needed minor work on my mountain bike. Even without an appointment, Ruben got me right in and always took excellent care of me. The team’s dedication to customer service is top-notch. If you’re in San Antonio, this is one of the best bike shops in town!
