Came here for a private event (Baby shower) so cannot attest to regular menu and pricing/ wait times as we had a pre fixed lunch menu. This is a very warm and cozy Italian place and our servers were very sweet and attentive. They have a patio set up as well that looked so beautiful and inviting. For the table we chose the Burrata and Fritto Misto. The Burrata was top notch (I could have had eaten the whole thing myself!) while the Fritto Misto needed some more seasoning. Yes, if you dipped it in the sauce it would have added to the flavor profile…but I prefer having my shrimp and calamari as is and feel like the batter needed atleast more salt. Prior to the entree the complementary traditional bread basket was provided. For the main course I got the Costolette de Manzo (beef short ribs with creamy polenta) and it was incredible! Fall off the bone tender, moist and succulent! I also got to taste the Lasagne alla Carne di Manzo which came in this cute personal skillet and a huge portion size! The béchamel-meat sauce was delicious! For dessert I picked the Tirimisu and also did get to taste the Chocolate Cannoli- both really good choices and it wrapped the meal so well. My Bellini cocktail was very light and refreshing too. Would come back for sure!
Good pasta spot, very homey feel and the service is great. I got takeout and got the following items, with asterisks to indicate what I’d get again: - Trenette al Pesto - Spaghetti all’Assassina* - Fettuccine Cacio e Pepe - Tagliatelle alla Bolognese*
Food wise, we had fried calamari/octopus for an appetizer. A complimentary bread basket was also provided. We ordered the Veal Shank and Raviolis as an entree. We also ordered a side of meatballs (partner's family is Italian) You can tell they really put in the effort with the food preparation. The meal was cooked to perfection and was made to highlight the freshness of the ingredients. The veal was incredibly tender. Personally, the red sauce for the meatballs wasn't to my taste, but was better than typical American-Italian Red Sauces. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake with Gelato. The cake itself tasted like a standard chocolate cake, but the Gelato took it to the next level. In addition to a glass of wine, the total cost of the meal was about $130 before tip. I felt that with the portions we received and overall experience it was worth it. The restaurant itself is limited in space so it is easy to overhear conversations at adjacent tables and the chairs were a little uncomfortable for a taller man. Server was fantastic and attentive. Parking wise, limited parking handled by valet so bring cash. I would recommend for a date night.
Best service! Best Italian food! It is the best experience! Italian food is my favorite food & this is easily one of the best I’ve ever had. We come here every time we have to come to MDAnderson. It’s our reward after a hard week of tests and appointments! Michael was amazing and made us feel like family. The owner, Shanon was incredible and also made us feel like special guests. 10/10 every time!
Came here with my boyfriend for date night, and the ambiance was incredibly romantic—perfect for an evening out. However, be prepared for a wait; we waited about an hour for our meals. Our server wasn’t very attentive, but considering he appeared to be handling around six tables on his own, it was understandable. The food was absolutely divine, flavorful, and clearly made fresh. I highly recommend starting with the meatballs—they’re packed with flavor. For the main course, the short ribs are a must-try: tender, rich, and perfectly cooked. Overall, a lovely experience for the atmosphere and food. Definitely worth the wait!
