Ashley was the perfect PT for me as she integrated strength exercises and stretching to support a nagging rotator cuff injury from 3 years ago that recently flared up. I was recommended to Rose City Physical therapy by my orthopedic surgeon after rotator cuff repair surgery. I've had an multiple, substantial orthopedic surgeries over the last 5 years (both shoulders, both hips, SI joint etc.) and I can confidently say Rose City Physical Therapy is the best physical therapy office I have ever worked with (this includes places in NYC and chain PT places in Portland). I was fortunate enough to work with Ashley Chan who is incredibly knowledgable, thorough and focuses on your goals as a patient in a safe, and effective way. I worked with Ashley for a little under a year, first focusing on my shoulder rehab and then on my chronic hip / SI issues. She is the only PT to relieve me of my chronic hip/ SI pain, and she equipped me with an exercise routine to extinguish flare-ups, drastically improving my quality of life. I am so grateful to Ashley for the care she took with helping me. The office as a whole is wonderful and while it's clear the overall expertise of all the therapists exceeds a normal PT office, an additional benefit at Rose City PT is that you work with your physical therapist for your whole session, rather than for only 15 minutes and then work with an aid the rest of the time. This was the norm at previous PT places I went to and I found that it was a hinderance to my rehabilitation. I chose Rose City Physical Therapy because of Peggy Loebner. Peggy was my physical therapist from another PT clinic. When she joined Rose City Physical Therapy, I followed her to continue my PT treatments. I have worked with Peggy for over 2 years. I found that Peggy was the best physical therapist for lower extremity injuries. I had plantar fasciitis, and other foot and ankle issues. Peggy provided manual therapy and exercises that helped me to stand and walk pain-free again, while maintaining my independence. Peggy is knowledgeable, caring, and kind. It has been an enjoyable experience working with Peggy and I would highly recommend her.
