2 sliders is definitely enough per person. The regular fries we're bomb. Personally the best slider was the Bombay hot chicken. It was the most flavor with minimal breading. The Nashville hot chicken head way too much breading. Draft beers were also good, if can you drink more than three beers just order the picture cuz it's a better deal. 🍺
The Little Sal sliders had fantastic flavor, with rich, smoky depth from the caramelized onions and sauce. I needed an extra patty to make it feel like a full meal, and the arugula base was a bit skimpy, though the side arugula was a generous portion. The pickles seemed off the shelf rather than housemade, which felt like a missed chance to elevate the dish. I ordered the burgers medium rare, but they arrived overcooked, though it was takeout so that may explain it. Overall, indulgent and delicious, and I would definitely come back.
My husband and I have been living in Mission Beach for 2 years and have just went to this place for the first time last night. It has been on my list just didn't have the chance to go. I've heard many great things, and was very surprised that this burger joint lived up to its hype! All of their burgers come in sliders, which is essentially a mini burgers they recommend ordering at least two per person which I would say is a perfect size. My husband ordered three and he was overly full afterwards. We also ordered one of their specialty spicy elotr french fries which was amazing! I ordered the little munchies and their award winning Rosemaries burger. My husband ordered the Nashville hot burger and the crab burger and also the Rosemaires burger. He was very impressed and loved all three of his burgers. He joked that it was good we just found this place now because he would be a regular here and that would not be good for his diet! Honestly I was so impressed by the quality this place definitely serves up some amazing burgers and I would put them in the top three of my all-time favorite burger spots! There is limited seating inside and outside but a really cute intimate casual dining spot. And the service is amazing, I didn't catch her name but she was really hospital and really welcoming I was really impressed. Overall 10 out of 10 recommend this place if you're looking for burgers in the area!
While on vacation, I ate here two nights in a row. I enjoyed my meals immensely. The staff was friendly, professional and hospitable, and the execution and presentation of the dining experience was well thought out to match the vibe. I love details like apps that are served in a miniature fryer basket or disposable napkins that still have the textural feel of a fabric linen, as well as artistic designs drizzled into the top of the aeoli. My somewhat mixed feelings are with the decadence of the food. With the sliders that I selected on night 1 (ones marked with a star to indicate popularity), each component was pretty maximalist, and my palate felt like it was in a casino full of bright lights and loud noises all competing for attention. I don’t want to say that my meal wasn’t balanced - more so it’s that the meal was bombastic. The kitchen is undoubtably talented and well educated, but it seems like they’re swinging for the fences on every element. (Side note, older reviews of this place that are not kind indicate lack of flavor, so perhaps the boldness is a course correction) On my second night, I aimed for sliders that on paper read as more simple and familiar. For me, this was the move. I was able to focus on and enjoy the textures/mouthfeel much more. Perfectly cooked beef, fluffy buns, melty cheese and great sauce. Big shout out to the onion rings. Large farmhouse style is often difficult to execute. You know that feeling when you bite into a massive onion ring and onion is too thick and still a bit raw, so your teeth don’t quite cut through on the first bite and you end up slurping up the breading as the greasy boiling hot onion slaps you in the chin? Yeah, that’s why I typically hate farmhouse style onion rings. Not here! They nailed it. The breading and seasoning were both excellent, but the degree to which the onion was cooked was like a soft al dente noodle. No chin slap, no grease grenade. Would order again. There’s something on this menu for everyone. If you’re a first timer, know your ordering archetype in advance. If you typically like bold flavors and creative expression, then order something different and unusual. If you want comfort and familiarity, go with the classic and some basic non-loaded fries…though fyi, even those are gonna come with a smokey paprika and aioli unless you ask for a modification (which they’re cool with accommodating).
8.7/10 Soft Shell Slider / The Little Sal $17 9.3 Eggplant Slider 9.4/10 Cajun Fries with aoili $10 This place has a sign outside saying "The Best Burgers" so it caught my attention. The Little Sal has a sweet flavor to it while the Soft Shell Crab has a subtle crab and lemon flavor. I tried the Eggplant slider and from what bites I had the eggplant is definitely something I want to get for myself next time The meat in the sliders has good flavor. The food is definitely good. I just thought the individual flavors could pop out just a bit more since there is kind of a lot going. The flavors all work and are subtle I'm just being critical The fries were definitely fire with the aoili sauce as well. For sliders the portions are decent and I probably could've got 1 slider and split the fries with someone I'm glad I stumbled into this place and I would absolutely recommend it to others
