My daughter has been studying violin at Royal Music Academy (RMA) since the second semester of 5th grade and has now been there for five years. During this time, RMA has played a vital role in her musical development and confidence as a young violinist. The instructors at RMA are highly skilled, professional, and truly dedicated to each student’s progress. They go beyond teaching technique — they cultivate a genuine love for music, strong discipline, and confidence in performance. With their guidance, my daughter has successfully passed the All-Region auditions every year since 7th grade and has consistently performed in her school’s top orchestra ensemble. She has also earned a spot in the GDYO, and received numerous awards in competitions for which RMA helped students register and prepare. Beyond weekly lessons, the Academy actively encourages students to participate in a wide range of musical activities, including concerts, recitals, and community outreach performances such as playing at nursing homes. These experiences have been incredibly valuable in helping her grow not only as a musician, but also as a person. Overall, Royal Music Academy offers outstanding musical instruction within a supportive and inspiring community. We highly recommend RMA to any young student who is interested in learning an instrument and developing a lifelong passion for music.

My son has been taking Cello lessons at Royal Music Academy for 3 1/2 years now. He never played Cello before until he joined RMA under Mr. Yankai Peng. Since then, he has placed 12th in the top orchestra in Region 25 in 2024, and this year he was 1st chair. Mr. Peng and the team at RMA have provided all the support my son needed to achieve amazing success in the last couple years. From helping to select the right instrument to identifying areas that he needed improvement in order to achieve his lofty goals, the team at RMA has been super supportive. The results achieved by their students reflect the dedication and expertise that one can find at RMA.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Rick for almost three years. In this time, he has taken her from performing in local sonatina festivals to competing interstate in international competitions. I’ve always been impressed by the progress she has made, but let me tell you, when I saw their charity concert for the North Texas Food Bank earlier this month, I was completely blown away. I tagged along with my wife to what I thought was just another glorified recital, but what was delivered by the faculty and students that evening were performances of the highest caliber! I’m so impressed that these teachers are meticulously cultivating a new generation of exquisite young musicians, all the while instilling in them a commitment to our community. It was incredible to see the full range of musical talent offered by this music school on full display. Congratulations to all the faculty and students for their hard work!
