I’m new to golf and this place has helped improved my game tremendously. I’ve been to multiple driving ranges in Detroit, and none of them can compare to this place. All of the balls are in great condition, none are broken and dirty like other ranges. The automatic tee setting is a great guide for actual game play, when it’s time to get in the tee box on the Golf course. Plus, the place is open year round with heated bays. Not only the staff is great, but the environment and people here are welcoming and friendly. I’m an Army Combat Veteran with severe PTSD/Anxiety, so coming here is a therapeutic relief. There’s a golf club technician on site, that is really proficient and he also runs the golf club fitting simulator. Go see Don if you need help, he will not disappoint. I am able to keep a documented score card when it’s time to play on an actual Golf course. If you’re reading this, the negative reviews are BS, and they’re just individuals with other underlying issues, respectfully. Looking to improve your golf game during off season, this is the place to practice.
I've been putt-putt golfing here since I was a kid and even though I've moved to another city I now bring my son here to putt-putt. I've always appreciated all the waterfalls, pools, streams around the course. It does show its age but as long as you're ok with lots of elevation changes and some uneven brick walkways you should have a good time!
In regards to putt putt... If you have young kids that like to roam off trails, beware of possible poison ivy. Not like trails are that wide, so even older kids/adults may brush up against plants. Plus the course is poorly maintained. Missing brick pavements -tripping hazard, water dirty looking, etc.
After many years of driving by this place, my 9 year old son & I decided to check it out. The 18 holes vary considerably in design & strategy. It starts off easy, goes weird, and then zig zags in difficulty. We saw lots of younger kids & families there. Overall the design is about as convincing as a 1960’s Star Trek episode. It’s a part of what makes it fun. Overall the grounds are well manicured just as nice as the driving range. There’s a mix of seating and shade. Inside the lobby it’s pristine with multiple drink options & a freezer full of Ray’s Ice Crème (another great Royal Oak institution). In terms of price, it’s not cheap, but not really expensive either. Have fun.
Pretty nice driving range. They have a ton of bays. They have both covered (heated and cooled), as well as uncovered bays. And the price is fair. They have an automatic ball despenser, so you get the actual amount you pay for. The power tee is a nice touch, so you're not bending over and teeing up the ball eCh time, although sometimes the balls get stuck in the under the matt despenser. I do wish they had the ball tracer like so many places have know that give you the stats on your hit. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely go back.

Your year-round destination for golf improvement, family fun, and memorable events.
