My experience with this firm has been disappointing. After six years, I am still resolving errors made by the company. They struggled with complex tax scenarios and did not optimize potential benefits. Also, after being assured that my initial pricing would remain consistent (Robert mentioned I would be grandfathered in), I received a bill in 2018 nearly double the previous year's fee. Robert did not communicate any pricing changes if I added more tax documents, which is common as one progresses in their career and life. Although I was promised consistent pricing if I continued using their services annually, this was not upheld. While the firm may be sufficient for straightforward tax matters, I would not recommend them for more complex situations. My experience involved Robert's failure to notify the state of Hawaii about paying taxes in other states, which should have been documented on an N-15 form. When the state later requested tax payments, Robert attempted to charge me for correcting the forms, even though his oversight caused the issue. So any “late forms” should had been submitted at the tax year deadline by Robert, but this was not handled. This has nothing to do with GE or general excuse taxes which I’m very familiar with. RP Tax’s focus on pricing overshadowed the quality of service, making me feel like just a number. He eventually just started ignoring me altogether. Very frustrating experience. My tax accountant since Robert has been fantastic, but they have had to go back and correct many errors made by RP Tax. Update: please note (in his response below) that he’s willing to violate my privacy by including personal details about my tax scenario on a public platform, indicating a complete disregard for client confidentiality to attempt to save himself. He will protect himself before he will protect you and I.

We've gone to Robert for our taxes for several years now and he's fast, efficient, and super helpful. His support staff has been equally fantastic, and always made us feel welcome. He's been so great we continue to work with him even though we've left the islands, and he's just as (if not more) fast, efficient and helpful from afar. We look forward to continuing to work with him in the years to come.
