didnt help my case but she was respectful to me on the phone
El Hogar was very rude and disrespectful to me when I simply was trying to walk in and get linked up with a psychiatrist. She started laughing while she was talking to me. Someone who suffers from severe mental health, PTSD, anxiety, major depression, and bi polar for someone who works at a country mental health program to be so hurtful when they are supposed to be here to help doesn't make any sense. I can't believe they would hire people like this. I'm already feeling suicidal sometimes. I really just need some help and I'm trying to do everything I can to get support. I was referred to El Hogar, and they are unbelievable. I can't comprehend how an employee names Brooke, at the Auburn Blvd location can be working in a position to help people who suffer from mental health disabilities, and for her to make me feel very uncomfortable to the point that I even have to write this complaint. I would highly recommend anyone who need mental health services, or looking to get linked up with a psychiatrist to not go to El Hogar, especially the location on Auburn Blvd in Citrus Heights CA. I left the building crying after the interaction. I called on the phone to schedule the best time to walk in, and Brooke first spoke to me on the phone. After I got there at the scheduled time she said would be perfect to come in, after driving 30 minutes to get there. She told me it's too bad that I wasted my time and I had to leave and try again another day. Those weren't her exact words. She spoke to me and talked to me very rude and disrespectfully while she was rolling her eyes, and laughing at me. I have no idea why she had to act that why. I don't think any person deserves to be treated the way I was treated today unfortunately, especially for a front desk employee that deals directly with mental health patients... I really hope this complaint reaches the right people, and can prevent anybody else from having to be treated as poorly as I was today.
Rude service employee named mona so rude she act like she is giving me out of her pocket thanks for being rude i don't know why you hire rude people they don't even know how to treat people
Office is closed when it says open! I need to get my daughters birth certificate what the hell is going on.
Calling the MH Access Team to get referred to a psychiatrist was degrading. I stated I was looking to get my medication refilled and the operator went on to ask me to explain all my conditions in detail unprompted. To those with PTSD/anxiety/etc having to explain to a random stranger one’s trauma/flashbacks/nightmares is super stressful… I handled it fine but it was alarming to be sprung on me. Please don’t do this! Interviews should be handled by mental health professionals w/ the patient knowing what to expect, not forced on them at random. Doing this seems more harmful than helpful. Plus, I ended up being referred to a place with awful reviews without a clear explanation as to why I couldn’t choose my provider (I had called w/ a clinic in mind since the MH Access Team’s number was on the clinic’s website… I thought it was the clinic’s itself and was disappointed). I figure it has something to do w/ how the system works but the operator seemed confused about it too so I’m miffed. Would really like to have contol over my own health—why does the DHS website list available providers if clients can’t choose their own??? It was a waste of time researching everyone to find the best clinic… 🤦🏻♂️ I hope I can get it changed.
