ETA: Within a few hours of my posting this review, the owner of the salon, Lyndsay, reached out to me with an apology. Since I was already out of town for a wedding and had someone else correct my haircut near the wedding venue, Lyndsay reimbursed me for the haircut and also offered a treat bag including a conditioning mask (which I never ended up picking up, between the holiday hustle, but I appreciated the offer anyways). I'm updating my review based off Lyndsay's quick and helpful response. Thank you, Lyndsay! Jeanette was personally pleasant, but as far as my hair went, probably one of the worst salon experiences I've had. Overall, my hair was treated how I treated it in middle school - that is, aggressive, with no conditioner and literally ripped and pulled apart. I came in wanting just the dead ends trimmed, particularly with the face framing layers, which were grown out enough to not be face framing. I left with the face framing layers about two inches shorter but still too long, and with a LOT more broken ends than I started with, from the aggressive wash, brushing and drying. I have a long, fine hair, and a LOT of it, so it does have a tendency to tangle. However, after washing my hair, we came over to the mirror, and the bottom half was a MASSIVE tangle. Seriously had not seen it that bad since middle school, when I didn't know what I was doing. I don't know if she used conditioner or not, but it was so tangled, it probably took at least 10-15 minutes just to brush through. And wow, I've never had my hair literally RIPPED apart when getting brushed. I kid you not, as she was brushing my hair, she would grab two tangled sections and literally PULL them apart, and then drag the brush through, with a light spritz or two of leave-in conditioner every now and then. This happened many times throughout the 10-15 minute detangling session. The drying and finish was pretty lackluster - one thing I look forward to with getting my hair washed and cut is that my roots get more of a volume boost than my normal lazy routine provides. But not here. She dried my hair so that I didn't have a nice rounded edge at the bottom, and the roots, especially in the front, were pulled and pulled down, so I left with about as much volume as I have on my third day after washing - that is, none. Overall, super disappointing and a waste of time & resources.

I’ve been going to Lyndsay for over 10 years now, and she does absolute wonders to my hair! She was able to get me from her black to blonde without breakage and her extensions are installed properly with care! It’s honestly just amazing what she can do! I just had an extensive color correction completed by Miss Jeanette herself! I’m not going to lie I was terribly nervous as the color was new and setting. I think she could sense it too and she was very understanding. However, after living in it a bit I’ve understood her genius! She matched my colour to my roots so seamlessly it was every thing I had been hoping for. She was so lovely, and charismatic. Thank you so much for delivering exactly what I wanted!

I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Maura and I couldn't be happier with the results!
