Absolutely terrible experience. I came in to have my hair dyed from brown to a natural blonde and left with a complete disaster. As soon as my hair was being dried, it was obvious there was a harsh regrowth line, visible streaks, and at least four colours throughout my hair (ash, blonde, brown and white) all patchy and uneven. There is obvious ash banding around the crown of my head, unprofessional. To make matters worse, my ends were completely fried. Despite being healthy before my appointment. My hair is now extremely dry and fuzzy, and I’ve been told I’ll need to cut around three inches off just to fix the wrecked ends. My hair is so beyond damaged now. This result is nowhere near acceptable. I’m beyond disappointed and would never recommend this salon to anyone wanting blonde work done.

Honestly best salon in Newcastle!! Skyler did my hair and it was amazing! She was so lovely and made the experience so much better! I absolutely love the results and my hair looks amazing! Will definitely be getting my hair done here from now on!! 🥰💖

BEST SALON IN NEWCASTLE. I love coming here so much! Always the best vibe. The current staff who I have seen are Skyler and Kate and they are both wizards. Skyler last did my blonde foils aiming for a natural look and she perfected it. Yesterday Kate did my extensions and oh my goodness….. I am so so happy I cannot believe the colour match, it couldn’t be more perfect. I have had extensions before many times over the last decade at different places and Kate’s have been the best I have ever had. Hair still in tact looking exactly how it did yesterday. Amazing at what they do but also so friendly and kind. Thank you girls! I can’t wait to come back next time 🥰😘

Recently went to Salt Hair for a cut and all over colour. The service was amazing, love the late night appointment on a weekday and the vibe in the Salk was calm and relaxing. Colour was perfect and the cut was exactly what I asked for. Friendly happy service, can’t wait to go back!

I’ve been exclusively a client of Salt since 2016, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair. Kristen got my box dyed, black hair to platinum blonde with minimal damage (over a number of appointments). The staff are all really lovely and easy to chat to, the salon is beautiful, accepts afterpay and is reasonably priced. Highly recommend (:
