I had a very disappointing and concerning experience during my recent visit. I came in after several days of fever and what appears to be a severe sinus infection, feeling quite unwell. Unfortunately, the care we received did not reflect the level of professionalism or compassion expected in a clinical setting. The provider, Krista Huffaker, spent very little time with us, asked minimal questions, and came across as rushed, dismissive, and irritated. Her communication was difficult to follow and not adapted to a patient-friendly level. Most concerning was her bedside manner, which made both my wife and me feel blamed rather than cared for. Beyond that, the way we were treated felt discriminatory. As patients of color, we experienced her tone, attitude, and lack of engagement as disrespectful and biased. The interaction did not feel neutral or professional, and it left us feeling that we were not treated with the same level of care and respect that other patients should expect. Patients deserve to be treated with dignity, empathy, and fairness, regardless of background. This experience fell far below that standard, and I hope it is taken seriously and addressed.
