There are a lot of bike shop options in San Diego, especially in Pacific Beach, but this is the best one. Great selection of bikes and all the accessories. All high quality, but a range of things to fit every budget. The staff is amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Dan, also Rick and Chris. Their knowledge about all makes and models of bikes is amazing. Their customer service is top notch, very helpful and sets the right expectations. I find their turn around time to be very fast. Sometimes I go in and can get same day service (e.g. a flat repair) other times it needs and overnight stay (e.g. full tune up). There are times I go in, get a diagnostic, and it needs parts, so I take my bike home and bring it back when the parts come up. I can't say enough good things about this shop and recommend that anyone need of a new bike, bike accessories, or any type of service, visit them. You won't be disappointed.

I came in hoping to get help diagnosing and fixing a persistent brake squeak that had already cost me time and money at another shop. Instead of a clear solution, I was told that “all brakes squeak,” and the tone felt dismissive from the start. When I asked for a confident plan to fix it without being charged outrageous fees again, the attitude shifted even more — and I was ultimately told I should “try another shop.” I get that not every shop wants to take on every repair, but the way it was handled felt unprofessional and unwilling to actually help a customer. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for honest guidance and accountability with your bike issues.

i recently purchased my very first road bike through SDC. The first time i went in i knew nothing about road bikes, Dan warmly greeted me and proceeded to spend the next hour and a half walking me through every part of the bike, recommended accessories, maintenance and answered every question i had. He even took me on a test ride to make sure i liked what i was buying. When the bike was ready for pick up, Chris worked with me in the parking lot to make sure that it was fully set up to my liking and went over any other questions i had. the customer service here is top notch, i never once felt rushed even when i was asking a million questions i would 100% recommend this shop to anyone and will definitely be returning for all future tune ups/purchases

We collaborated with this colorful PB Bike Shop for a bike ride with a clients visiting SD. The bikes are top notch, a lot nicer than other bike rentals we have done over the years! Dan and Nick were great to work with. They are also next to a tasty Acai shop and a block from the ocean!
